just insulating it isnt going to eliminate dripping, you will have to run a catch can.

Good, but that doesn't sound like a proper comparison as I'm sure that fox was going more than 100...then again, your truck is a uterus, so that's probably all it can muster.

my truck has been 140, still the results should be the same, by your theory my tailshaft and driveshaft should break.

i need the 3.4 Lmao! now you sound like kyle.

Well, since that is what happened to that fox when he hit the brakes, then that is what the result was in his scenario...based on actual events...so it doesn't really matter what your results are, the fact still remains that hitting the brakes on that fox busted the tail shaft on his tranny. Sometimes you just can't prove reality.

Then again, you doing it in a truck that was meant to tow things and have additional stresses, so the fact you think it will be an apples to apples comparison is pretty funny as well.

Re: WOOT!!! Intake Manifold has been ordered

ok, benjy offered to do it on the 96 cobra...is that good enough apples for apples? or im sure wes will do it in his 5.0, i stopped the dyno with my orange car several times, and did it with the 96 cobra a few times too both cars being done with the mustang dyne represenative standing next to it running the machine and he never said there was anything wrong with it.

Re: WOOT!!! Intake Manifold has been ordered

And that still won't prove what actually DID happen. Dude, just cause you think you know it all about the dyno does not mean you can disprove reality. Reality is, they hit the brakes, his tranny broke. If it does for you, great...if it doesn't, oh well. Point is, it happened, and is real. So, go on with your attempt to try and make yourself look like the all knowing and stop posting about it in my intake thread.

Re: WOOT!!! Intake Manifold has been ordered

wellllll......im telling you what others running the dyno are telling me, i asked if the brakes would do that and the answer was no,how do YOU know its real? you were not there when it happened and there are alot of other things that could have went wrong, but i guess since it was posted on the internet as that, then thats what MUST have happened i have personally talked to mustang dyne rep and was present for the training not to mention the number of cars i have helped dyno several of them being stopped with the brakes(maybe no slammed but stopped) .. i think i know a little more than the next guy in this thread.and since it is a bull**** thread about natrally aspirated intake thats isnt happeneing anyway then it shouldnt be a big deal.

how about this for sudden stop? i accidently left my ebrake on once on the dyno because we were doing alot of things, dynoed with the e brake on, are you going to tell me that did not put stress on the drivetrain when i let out the throttle and the dyno stopped instantly?

pretty much, just because the owner thinks that is what happened doesnt mean its the rteal cause. dynoes ar not just a free floating roller, they have eddy brakes. im sure every customer who has a problem with a vendor is right though and they are never looking to point a finger.

what a coincidence... I too ordered an intake manifold canceling the order for the Typhoon due to "problems" I hear arise from its use... and because I'm gonna throw the KB on it eventually

Re: WOOT!!! Intake Manifold has been ordered

I look at it this way. whenever something brakes, it was the leakest link in that setup.
in a good drivetrain with wornout parts or pre existing problems the first part to break loose will always be the tires. their is no way to break a drivetrain part by slaming on the brakes. period. yes the guys parts broke when he hit the brakes. It was just that's parts time to go. parts brake all the time when they are not even under stress. I broke the carrier bolts in my rear end one time just making a normal turn from a red light, while driving like mis dasiey. If you had the car being towed by an 18 wheeler at 100mph and slamed on the brakes it's just gonna lockup the tires and continue to be dragged by the truck. not break any drivetrain parts. and that's a lot more stress than just driving down the road and slaming on the brakes. the same as more stress from having the dyno set wrong with too much weight

if you abuse things they will break more often then not but... you can break things at the weirdest places on vehicles that they should never have broke... just part of it

exactly, and since the brakes are a middle point between the rollers and the transmission, the force isnt applied to the tailshaft, its applied to the brake pads, tha only way to directly apply the force to the tail shaft is to put it in park or reverse.i think his converter balloned and locked up.

STFU about the dyno **** in my manifold thread. No matter how much you rationalize it you're not going to change the facts of what actually happened.

For example...mythbusters proved that a bullet shot up into the air will not reach the velocity required to hit someone in the head and kill them. However, it has happened hundreds or thousands of times. The point? Sometimes facts don't prove reality.

No STFU and get over it.

actually, they said shot straight up in the air. The bullets that killed people were shot at angles, and thus maintain their velocity

No one knows the angle at which the shots were fired, they only know where they came down. Shot straight up does not come straight down.

when a bullet reaches zero velocity, it doesn't maintain it's orientation to the trajectory. If fired at even a slight angle, it can arch over and thus does maintain it.

We know this, the point was, in the cases where someone died, no one knows what angle the bullet was shot at...it could have been shot straight up, it could have been at a large angle, or at a small angle relative to verticle.

Now STFU and stop posting about off topic stuff in my manifold thread...

There, i've yelled at 2 people now...now it's fair.

the thread has no topic, its like brad posting that he is putting a v6 in his car because he blew his motor., when the truth is out its a bull**** thread, so lets talk about this trickflow intake you dont have, dont talk about the blower, that would be off topic.

Actually, the blower would be on topic because the blower is my upper intake manifold...and the thread topic is that my intake manifold has been ordered...
