#1 misfire

I have a cylinder #1 misfire.
2000 GT 4.6L Auto 60 xxx miles (cant remember off the top of my head)
70mm tb
bbk cai
flowmaster catback
predator diablo tuned
optima redtop
GMS plus (COP )
NGK IRID plugs
n other goodies but not related to the motor.

Ok, so I drove 1k miles plus to NC from LA.
Then this morning (3days after putting fresh ngk plugs in)
I had SES light (service engine soon)
Now Im at a hotel in AL and have 600 more miles 2 go.(back 2 LA) Will cyl #1 misfire really effect my motor if I travel those 600 miles?
Also, I really dont think its the plug or cop because they are so new but my questions are.
Could I bought a bad spark plug? (or gaped 1 wrong?)
Would a cop go bad (after 30days) or could dirt debre(minor) cause it not 2 work.

What else could it be? and if its a dead cylinder. What would I have 2 do 2 fix that issue

Thanks in Advance.

(o, and I know its a #1 misfire because I pulled codes with my tuner and it sputters)

sometimes misfires are due to an underdrive pulley thats loose (harmonic balancer is slightly off so the ring gear is not being read right on the crank sensor... just a though if you have recently installed a udp

Don't drive your car 600miles with a miss. To see if it's the plug or coil try swapping them one at a time with another cylinder and check to see if the miss mores to that cylinder

yes, coils and plugs can go bad 10 minutes after installed, i have had it happen, if you didnt buy a oem coil, thats probably the problem. check the ceramic around the sparkplug to make sure it isnt loose and jumping up and down over the electrode. also check your injector by swapping it to see if its a fuel problem. i have had all of these problems before.

Re: #1 misfire

I ended up just replacing the spark plug and issue resolved.
