Steeda Cable

I'm hoping to upgrade to a Ram HDX Clutch soon and am considering going with the Steeda cable/quadrant/adjuster kit. A friend of mine who had bad experiences with the Steeda cables about 4 years ago is telling me not to use it. I read some old posts on here that said it was not a great idea also (from like 2005/2006) What I'm hearing is that the cable comes out of adjustment at the bottom where it connects to the bell housing, have they corrected these problems? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Re: Steeda Cable

keep in mind to adjust your petal correctly when you remove the stock quadrent the petal will have to be as high as it can go to get tension on it against the bump stop the stock cable should be ok

Re: Steeda Cable

I would recommend not going with an aftermarket cable and to get yourself a stock replacement if you really need a new cable. The steeda quadrant and adjuster are fine, as are the UPR variety, but don't get the cable. Get a stocker instead.

agreed. Nothing stronger than the stock cable from my experience.

Re: Steeda Cable

I have broken the UPR cable already and I wasn't beating on the car either. The stock cable is really expensive but well worth the extra money.
