OK guys we need help here, the track looks like it may be more expensive then we though so we have a few options,

1. Cancel the event
2. Charge like $80 to race so we have payouts
3. Charge $60 to race with no payouts but still have Piston trophies and some door prizes. Basically race for trophies and fun but still help promote the V6.

I prefer #3 since we don't want to cancel any races, the more we have the more serious it makes us look to the aftermarket people. Florida tracks are expensive but we are getting a private rental, shared with another club, but PLENTY OF TIME to race, its another small mustang club, I believe its MACH1's. If you think you can make it PLEASE sign up ont he race website, this helps encourage others to come, we need your support.

Give your opinions here as well on the 3 options.

not sure what you mean? You mean a lot of people will show up to watch and not race? Or that there will be a lot of spectators that come to watch but don't have a car to race?

From what I can decypher from the other thread:

$1500 for 20 cars.
30 cars is $250 more ($1750) and 40 cars is $150 more ($1900) .

Atleast that is how I figure it Justin would know for sure.

yeah thats about right Kirk, we are sharing with some Mach 1's so that will help get us a cheaper rate as the car count will go up, the more cars we get the cheaper it gets.

BTW, thanks for signing up Brent, will get you added to the list.

I think you'll have less racers charging that much to race.

We understand that but our options are limited.

So far the vote has been to Not cancel the event.

yeah thats why we are posing the question as to what people think we shoudl do. We know charging a little more is not great but its either that or no race, having the race far outweighs the benefits of not having it, cause by showing the aftermarket peopel we have a good support group then they may decide to start making us parts seeing we are willing to buy them.

At least there will still be a few door prizes and trophies to win, ya never know when a magazine may show up as well.

Well, either way, I'll be there, and not racing, even if it was free. So let's hope everything goes well and we can stay out of the rain, unlike Steele.

I would go, however, Auburn has a home game that weekend, and you better believe I will be there.

Still going to that Auburn game nate?

Well due to problems in getting Corey down here (not his fault or anything that could be helped)

It does not look like I will be able to make this year

That is probably the weekend I am going to be putting the engine together.

That means I'll probably be in Madison with Brent and Corey then. Sorry I won't make it. But I wasn't gonna race anyways.
