Re: Cabin Retreat - Joe Wheeler State Park - May 18-20

Well. The big Lodge is booked, as well as most everything else. It took too long and I never got enough anyway. Rob stepped up to offer to pay the rest of the deposit, but it was too late. Everything is pretty much booked all summer

Except for 3 wood cabins. They are reserved, for the weekend we had choosen. It is the best I could do. They are 4 person cabins, near the lake. Everyone that sent in a deposit is payed in full (Rob twice over) we still have 4 vacancies, so the next 4 people to throw me $35 will have a spot for the weekend. Here is where are cabins are located:

I will edit the original post AGAIN to reflect these changes. I am very disappointed that we weren't able to get the big lodge, but this is better than nothing

Wheeler Lake + Zim's 19' ski boat = possible amazing time. Now if only I had a vehicle to pull it...

I remember a thread talking about your car being a towing monster or something like that. :chin:

lol yeah, but im not about to stick a hitch on the old stang and attempt to pull a
tandem axle trailer hauling a 19' boat weighing in somewhere close to 5k pounds all together for over 10 hours lol. That boat would throw my car all over the place, not to mention attempting to stop and pull it out of the water

Yes, there is space left. Only 8 have signed up, including you, so there is plenty of space left several more people to come.

And...Seafood buffet saturday night...guess I will be going back too.

That was going to be one of my next posts. I am trying to coordinate when we are leaving here on Friday since it will be about 8 hours from here.

Lets set a meeting place and rough time frame to meet up and then we can all cruise over there at once...

Or, if we decide, we could just all meet at the park.

See about getting some others from your area to go as well. I'm working on Brad (slostang) here to go with his wife...yub yub ...

This just needs to be better than the last one. With all the members in the tenn/al area, we should be able to get half the damn site there. lol

Probably the big $35 fee...damn cheap compared to the jacksonville thing.

Still time though, hopefully as it gets closer we can get some more people to commit to it.

At least I won't be the sole 21+ year old this time. lol
