Mustang Evolution Cruise Fall of '08

Since we just about ALL need to save up money to go and Cajun said he could get us some good deals on a Carnival Cruise who all thinks they could set aside a jar of money--next to the modifications jar-- to save up to go on a cruise??

*if it pleases the gods, sticky?*

Yea guys, If we can get a poll going for date, that way I can get the magic started on choosing a date for us. That's priority one. Dates effect prices GREATLY. You pay more in the summer and holidays, and less in fall and spring. After that, we need to poll up and choose itinerary. Bahamas, Western Carib. or Eastern Carib. Then from there we will see the ships at which port they leave from. New Orleans port is REALLY easy to go through. Main options are: Galveston, Tx., New Orleans, La, Port Canaveral, Fl., Miami, Fl. From there we will get rates for the prices. The bigger the ship we go on, the better the chance you have a balcony. If you are going for the cheap rooms, then price is pretty much set depending on destination and date. So if we can get this set up, Ill form a spreadsheet and all. This way, we can possibly have all the ME crew at dinner eating together in the same vicinity within tables.

We'll see...never been on a boat that large and it sounds fun. Gotta get settled down somewhere first.

There is no such thing as a structured cruise. You get on the boat and you can leave when it reaches port at other islands or you can stay on. You can do whatever the hell you want and eat as much as you want for free. It's the greatest thing ever.

Only if you want to go to the dining room which is semi formal. They have a ton of other places to eat on the ship from Pizza to Burgers etc etc. Last Cruise I went on had a 24/7 Pizza area.

I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to.

It's not "structured". You do what you want when you want. Booze 24/7 free food........

Brent...it's time off work, it's money spent, and none of us know if we'll even be able to handle a cruise..

Well..none of them...I spent some time on a tow boat...

Re: Mustang Evolution Cruise Fall of '08

Its not that bad barring us getting stuck in a storm or something which rarely happens since they can go around them.

Time off work and money happens with any vacation so that's nothing specific to cruises.

That is only for dinner. Which, for a specific time, would probably be late seating (8:00pm) The reason they have that is because thats the good meals. Prime Rib, Lobster, Filet Mignon... ****, its all you can eat there as well. You want 8 lobster, you got it.

I'm considered 21 on a cruise, and buy my own booze, so no, there is no checking up. There is no restrictions on me what so ever.

Of which....why would they have to be there to get the same deal? The deal is about quantity of people...not who the people are. :dunno: Plus, I have a hard time believing that a set of parents that set a curfew on a 20 year old will just say "Run along junior, I will see you in 5 days when we get off the boat".

The only parents/old folks I want to chill with are those that are from this site....

Reason 2: One of the big draws about a car meet is....well...the cars. While we might all know what everyone else drives....prolly seen them a million times....it is still part of the whole ambiance of the meet.

I do like the idea of cruises....but as a replacement for an actual meet...I'm not so sure.

Re: Mustang Evolution Cruise Fall of '08

I hear a lot of problems with it being in the fall. Couldn't we do it on ya'll fall break? You wouldn't miss but a day or two of class, no more than what you would when you skip( I have that tshirt don't worry ) Reason I said of 08 is because it IS so far away, and we'd all have plenty time to save for it. Along with a way better deal.

Brent, I wasn't really trying to replace a car meet, but more or less a group of friends to go on a cruise.
