How far are you willing to travel for a show?

I was just wondering what the thoughts are of the site for traveling to shows and abroad.

I voted in state but it depends on where it's at. I'm in northern KY and would travel to southeastern IN or southwestrn OH with no problems.

Re: How far are you willing to travel for a show?

I voted within state too, but for a good show I would travel further(within reason).. I think around 2-3 hours would be my limit.

Re: How far are you willing to travel for a show?

It all depends on the shows and the weather.

I have gone to Mississippi and Kentucky in my car for shows.

The drive back from Kentucky was a white knuckle drive since it was pouring down rain the whole time, and my drag radials didn't like it one bit. Every time I changed lanes, the rear end would fishtail.

Re: How far are you willing to travel for a show?

it depends on the caliber of the show, if its a good one farther of course. For normal shows I will drive about 2 hours or so (seems to be the furtherest out I usually go)

Re: How far are you willing to travel for a show?

I'm game for whatever fits my budget and schedule at the time. The last 2 years I've gone to Lake George NY for a show, been to Tupelo, and to huntsville for just a meet up. I'm game to go where ever.

Re: How far are you willing to travel for a show?

Like most it depends on what is going on. I have made trips to Missouri, Tenn, Miss, Ala, and in state, this year. I had planed a trip to Pittsburgh earlier this year but had to miss it when my clutch went out. Longer trips are also built around vacation time just to see the sites.

I have a long list of events I want to go to at least once, more added all the time.

Re: How far are you willing to travel for a show?

Like most on here I'd say within 2-4 hours it all depends on what the show is.

Re: How far are you willing to travel for a show?

I am willing to travel if the show was big enough. I am planning on going to the AM show next year. I guess if the show was important enough and the cause was worthy enough i would travel about anywhere on the east coast.

Re: How far are you willing to travel for a show?

Depending on schedule a few states away. I haven't gone further than a one day drive however just for a show or race day.

It's alot more fun when you involve some traveling, especially to see some good friends.

Re: How far are you willing to travel for a show?

Anything under an hour requires little to no thought. I can be spontaneous and just get up and go. Anything more than an hour would have to take additional consideration. For every hour, I'd say my chances of going are cut in half.
