Also if you are running down the track you have to have pants and no shorts. Not a 100% sure on that but check it out.
That's good! I can't remember what mods you have. For me, it's all the drivers fault Lol. I've seen Mach's listed at 13.0 to 13.3 with the stock 3.55 gears. I have 3.73, so a good driver should be able to reapeat that I would think. I'm getting new wheels and tires soon so that will help. I'm too afraid I'll break something if I get drag radials. I don't want to beat on too bad, but it's a ton of fun at the track. Kinda hard to resist.

Here's a good video to teach you the basics. I remember the first time I raced my 89 LX 5.0 down the track I was super nervous. After that first run I couldn't get back in line quick enough. It was crazy exhilarating and my adrenalin was jacked! You will love it. Just remember its ok if you get going down the track and if something doesn't feel right to just let off the pedal and coast the rest of the way.

Thanks for the good info everyone. I guess having one and not needing it is better than not having one but needing it!

Does anyone know of any good local car shows or where to find them?

Well I mentioned the event above in August. Just search on google. I live near Greenwood and there is a place called The Suds here and it's a hot rod hang out every Saturday when it's warmer. Search it on Facebook here is some pics.

Yup...way bigger than the Kmart parking lot thing here in town every Saturday night. Lol, small group, but it sounds like high school letting out in 1970 when everyone goes home. Lots of American muscle.

Out of all the nights I've spent in Brownsburg and cruising through town I've never seen anything at the Kmart lot? How often do they do it? I might come up one night. I just live 10-15 mins away in lebanon

I wanna say it starts at 5PM until maybe 8PM? I'm not sure when they start but I've stopped by in July and August and hung out for a while. The most I've seen was around 30 cars. I believe they take donations for some local church. It's pretty boring but there are usually some pretty cool cars.

Lets hope. Due to my car being stranded from moving anywhere last night I took the day to plow and shovel. Around 1 stuff was startling to melt.

Azure how much snow you guys get in Brownsburg? Zionsville has bout 3" while in lebanon about 4". Last night around 8 when I got off work from one job there was maybe 2" and my car had a terrible time going anywhere. I'd come to a dead stop on the main road (st rd 39)

We got around 3" too. It was a really wet snow. Luckily, I can usually leave my bent in the garage on the bad weather days, as long as my wife doesn't need the car. I haven't driven it in the snow this year. I've been pretty lucky. Lol
