Re: BATON ROUGE: Mustang Evolution Dyno Day 7/26/2008

i have no problem welding considering im asme certified on a mig gun, and all of the weld-in exhaust that i do has never had a problem, i had a tailpipe fall off of my full stainless slp kit, and just he tailpipe piece was 200 from slp, i paid 400 for the whole kit, plus id have to replace the $70 magnaflow tip i had lost, this was all due to a band clamp coming loose. i at least tack everything now on my car. also not every kit comes wioth the band clamps.

I'm just extremely picky and a HORRIBLE customer, I want to watch everything, because if one little thing isn't the way I would do it, I freak out, even down to which way the u-bolts face, I like them to where the threads are point towards the center of the car, not pointing down to catch a speed bump or up to rub the chassis.

The only good thing about me being a customer is that if the work is good, I tell EVERYBODY! Shops love that lol
Around here, that gets you sent to the office while the work gets done before then end up dropping the car on your head because you are having a **** fit over something completely unimportant.

Man, that sounds like someone I know...

kyle is OCD like that as well but then he let barney and friends put his exhaust on.no car will EVER leave our shop looking like mikeys or kyles...benjy would be ready to kill and i have higher standards than that as well.but i fix thier problems for them while constantly dropping the "i told ya so"

yea rates for "post install" repairs just went up.

*cough-Kyle-cough* lol

imma keep aderol on hand for when he comes over...

we stand behind our work because we are OCD to an extent but we are also confident in our skills and we know it is right when it leaves, because if it isnt right, it isnt leaving.

Yeah, I used to have to pull that one A LOT! It never really bothered me as much when it was someone that knew what was being done, but when it was someone who was getting something that they heard was good and have no idea what it even looks like or where it goes, then it gets really aggravating.

Re: BATON ROUGE: Mustang Evolution Dyno Day 7/26/2008

sometimes a hammer is required to pull back drums off. always funny to watch a customer who doesn;t have a clue, watch us do that. LOL. also when i put the lift and tires on my truck the tires rubbed the inside of the wheel wheels. so i told my tech to get a hammer and beat it out the way, LOL cust's eyes were huge when he saw us just wailing away on the body line in the wheel well. i told it was my truck so not to worry.

Everyone in my neighborhood hides their pretty cars tucked away in special garages that nobody ever goes in. Mine is gonna be a DD, so unless I cant drive with chains and stuff around the car at all times, I think driveway use would be pretty ineffective.

not me, but it was funny

if you put up the yellow chains, put signs all around that read "no specators please, extreme eaton power & paint reflections could cause injuries"

how big is your kitchen? cause you could make more power with a smaller kitchen.

Re: BATON ROUGE: Mustang Evolution Dyno Day 7/26/2008

Well the theory isn't more power due to less size, it's more pressure due to less volume.

Think about it, a little water balloon that's full has good pressure on it, and bust easily, but the same amount of water in a normal balloon would have faaaaaar less pressure.

Now aside from all that, I gotta go to Lowe's and buy an island and some windows, I'm gonna reduce the room size and do some port work to the kitchen, it'll give it better flow.

therefore the bigger balloon has more potential?while still holding the same volume with less stress on its componets

PSI does not always equal power...PSI equals heat....hence the 200+ degree IAT temps on 10.5 psi on a v6

Your additional PSI is the same amount of air as the V8 running the lower PSI. You can only make so much power on a particular amount of air...so if there is some way that a V6 can make more power than a V8 when they are both getting the same amount of air...only the V8 is cooler by a long shot, then the V6 is the holy grail of motors.

Re: BATON ROUGE: Mustang Evolution Dyno Day 7/26/2008

v8= more volume of air in and out. an engines ability to get air in and out is directly proportional to the amount of power it will make.

Re: BATON ROUGE: Mustang Evolution Dyno Day 7/26/2008

yeah, but my little balloon is stronger than the popular big balloons, so it'll handle more water without failure, and heat can be overcome, like we talked about before, through several methods.

Yeah a bigger engine has more potential, but that craps easy lol

I would gladly put my balloon up against yours and see which one holds the most water.
