ID:	89070This local Drift event is going to be awesome!

It's going to be at the Greyhound Racetrack. I am planning to participate in this event. It'll be my mustangs 1st amateur event.

Everyone in the surrounding Corpus Christi, Tx area should make their way down here and watch me shred a couple sets of tires!

Thanks! I just got home after 8 hours of drifting. I put 17.6 miles on my car all redlining tire chewing action. I've got some footage from my GoPro and maybe some action pics from some of the photographers. I am so drained.

Nah, this was my first time at an actual event. I've whipped around corners before but never actually drifted.

There were a couple of pros. I've got some video of their runs. I'll post them up when I get a chance. They're gonna make my runs look bad. Lol

It's worth the drive! They are really relaxed here. The property owner is really cool and this event attracted drift clubs from the surrounding city's.

So here's the cost of drifting. I curb checked my wheel at 60mph mid slide. I got a nice rash in the wheel and a chunk taken out of the tire. My alignment is a little off and I may have bent a control arm.

I touched up the bare metal areas with some Rustoleum and my rear tires are completely bald.

All and all, this is about what I expected. The rim, although a bit chewed will still serve well as a drift wheel.

I should have taken a pic of the underside of my Boss Splitter. It took the blunt of the curb and held up great. I was really surprised!

You know what's funny? I wasn't the only one to hit that curb. But I was the only American car to hit it and continue drifting the rest of the day. All the 240's and 350z's, once they hit, their day was over. The build quality of the mustang is far superior to the imports I was running with.

A drift fox would be sweet! All plexi'd out gutted down to a racing seat 5 point harness roll cage and a dashboard. That would be sweet!

Lol yea its far superior but also thicker and higher grade. I've bent rods broken axles plenty of times . But that hit proves the quality of the suspension on the stangs
