What system did u use on Allan's? I have helped my father in law on at least 60, all PPG. They are not the same. Some are not comparable. There is a reason out cars came out with PPG.

allans is base/clear chroma base.. I also like nason ,( some say its cheap paint ) but it sprays well, cost less and does hold up pretty well. when your talking solid colors and car being a driver you can stay with economy paint.. I used nason on the 73

Do u remember what brand Allan?

We need Abbott77 to say what color he wants for sure. Then we could get 2stang to price it and go from there.

---------- Post added at 09:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:18 PM ----------

Oh ok. Awesome. His car looks great and so did the 73. Both have held up well. He would want it to be the better quality paint.

---------- Post added at 09:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:20 PM ----------

Nason is made by DuPont, correct?

That's about right Allan.

Probably wouldn't cost much more BoB. Allan's is a pretty deep color.

It depends on how detailed u want it. The painter is who usually gets paid more for two tone cars lol. He has to work harder. The black paint is actually the cheapest color to produce because the black pigments are easy to create.

Not white on black tho brother. Lol

There is a pretty orange, not comp but comparable. It all depends on pearls, metallics, and candies. U wanna see some expensive paint, look at some hot wheels colors. 2k a gallon.

It's all expensive. The most expensive I've ever seen purchased has been a mulberry red pearl. Beautiful color. Went on a 32 Chrysler. Was 400 per quart.

---------- Post added at 09:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:35 PM ----------

Had a 2,500$ rock shield in it. Of course it was a 125,000$ car.

Most expensive car I've ever seen. Edsel fords 39. Guy wanted 10 mil. Lol

It is always easier to go back the same color. You don't have to paint door jams , under hood and trunk and so on.
