Wisconsin Dells AutoMotion 2014

Anyone know about/ will be attending this event come May 17-19?

Automotion is a weekend event with literally Thousands of vehicles cruising the town at all hours of the day.

There is a main Car show both days, with thousands of show cars which is absolutely free to get in. There is also a large Swap meet during this time As well. Awards are given out Sunday

After the Saturday Show, there is a cruise through town which is absolutely massive. A minimum of 1000 cars, plus whoever else joins the line.

Also available to enter is a burn out competition at "edge o dells." 100% legal and low cost entry. I believe i heard it was $25 to spectate, or free to participate if you roast the tires real good.

Also I might Add, the mustang presence at this event is huge. If Anyone plans on attending/bringing their car, i'd be happy to roll with anyone off ME during the cruise.

It truly is a wild time. Most fun I've had at an event EVER. When you roll off the expressway it instantly turns into Car Heaven. Some of the things you see are pretty nuts, too. The first day last year i saw a Gotta Have it Green 5.0 stop traffic and do donuts in the middle of an intersection. That was the only day i saw him though! Most definitely got busted at some point.

Well, it all depends. Theres alot of both, actually. I never hit the bars myself, but the cruising up and down lasts til 1 or 2 am. And i saw a lot of people partying on the streets watching the Cars. But i'm sure the bars are full up. And i know that a group of guys go out to the woods and set up drag racing. Just alot going on at all hours. Then they're up bright and early, doin' it all again. I'm gonna try and see just how many people from ME i can get to come join the party.

If worse comes to worse, theres a dog boarding place up there that treats the dogs good. But i dont think having a dog would be too much of a hassle. Pretty sure some of the hotels/motels are dog friendly, as well.

Any other Midwesterners interested in this show? Consider this a midday bump, since i made this thread so late last night.

Wisconsin Dells AutoMotion 2014

Mount olympus, Cliff side, Flamingo, are all along the route most people cruise. I stay at Mount Olympus. Theres a whole bunch in a wide range of prices. Last time these dudes had their trailered cars out in the Mount Olympus Parking lot, and it was a riot watching them try to back in and out of them.

I also just found a video with my car driving by. 45 seconds prior to driving by, a bike ran from a cop. The things that happen, that you never remember seeing.

Heres a video to give you an idea just the massive amount of cars that show up to to party. I'm the black GT at 28:27 right behind the yellow GT

Exactly how i feel. Plan was to take the stang out of storage starting april first. But seeing as they're calling for 6 to 10 inches on saturday, and we've still got about a foot of snow on the ground, i'm starting to lose hope. I swear, summer better last until well into september this year. So you are for sure going? I'd like to get a count of all those that are definitely in and anyone down to cruise around.

I'm really hoping it take a turn for the better. Here in chicago it has started to improve, but i've heard wisconsin got nailed again pretty recently. We waited to book a hotel a little bit late, and now we're having trouble finding a decent place. 100% going though, even if i have to sleep in the car Lol

Very nice, I'm still getting myself all set up with a hotel still. Waited too long and some places want an outrageous amount/night. This year is going to be a blast. Be forewarned though, if your Pony runs on 93 octane, you'll have a hard time finding it there. Encountered that issue last year! Just over a month to go. I cannot wait.

Weather permitting, A few friends and I will be attending. I was there last year and was shocked at the amount/type of cars. Everything up to Ford GT's and Lamborghinis'.

Very excited as well. Just ordered a small fortune worth of chemical guys product to get the car all detailed and ready for next weekend. And I agree with SVT, There is a crazy amount of diversity in the cars that go there. You see anything from rusted out civics with ebay turbos, to custom GTRs. That's why its so fun. All are welcome!
I'll be staying out near the lake, and cruising the strip day and night.

Very cool man. I myself will be there for a good portion of the day on Sunday. If anyone is interested in a small meet up, Let me know and we'll agree on a spot. So far I know of 3 people as a positive. But I'm not sure how many of the previous members that gave it a for sure are still active on here.
