cold air intake and tuner

This website has been very helpful to me in the past with all the knowledgeable member and various opinions. Left the Myrtle Beach Mustang 2014 rally yesterday abit befuddled. I have a 2014 GT, auto trans. I consider myself a backyard mechanic. After hearing different pitches on various tuners for my GT and the combos with the cold air filter....OH!! What to do? I don't race it or run it competitively just want to improve performance and enjoy it more. I installed Pypes "CherryBombs" and it sounds great. Thanks for any input.

You'll get a lot of different responses on CAI - everyone has their favorite brand. Personally, my first CAI was Airaid and I've just stuck with it.

Tuner is a bit of a kerfuffle right now. With Bama getting slammed pretty hard lately, many people won't recommend them. However, I've had nothing but good experience with them in either of my last two Mustangs. GrabberBlue is doing a comprehensive head-to-head comparison of Bama and MPT. AED and Lund also are favored. I think for the most part you will be fine with any of them.

TUNE AND FILTER.

I went with the SCT Tuner, and "Mustang Specialties" in Pompano Bch, FL. did a "Custom" Tune on it. I use a "Steeda" Carbon Fiber High Flow Intake. I Love it.

If you get an American Muscle book it will tell all hp. and tq. with each intake they sell. Of course Bam tunes up to 93 for max numbers.
