Swapping stock v6 rear end gears to 3.73 - Mustang Evolution

Swapping stock v6 rear end gears to 3.73

Can any one explain the proper way to shim the gearing for correct backlash?? I will be using 7.5" 3.73 gear ratios with stock axles

The correct way to shim the gearing is to have a professional do it. One who is familiar with shimming gears for correct backlash. Lol. On a serious note, I have always been told gears is not something you want done wrong.

Yeah I might be better off doing that but I just thought it'd be nice to learn how to do things myself and earn some knowledge yah know?
