Sweet. Got a friend sending me an OEM one for free. I'll probably take a trip to the junk yard anyway and grab a few..... Oh and if it is #5 then i looked it up, that is actually the closest one to the front on the driver side. Which makes sense because it sounds more rough coming out of the driver side tail pipe.
Another awesome Nor-cal Mustangs meet!
It was nice to finally meet MedxGT and crew!
There sure was a lot of strong running Mustangs there. I think that the E85, Whipple Terminator probably was the winner at 650+ hp. The ME guys did well also. MedxGT's Coyote runs very strong, as expected. SL4's Bullitt pulled a decent number... On 7 cylinders!!! But I was particularly impressed by TTT's pulls, those 3.7's are no joke! The power curve looks very similar to the old 2V 4.6 engines. It's kind of a shame that those engines are likely going to be discontinued.
Again, we forgot to take a group photo. I did however get a pic of the cars on the dyno. (I didn't dyno my car)
I've got GoPro video of each of our runs. I'll try to edit all of that as well as the cruise some time this week when i have time. If i have time. Aside from this essay i have another and then a project.
I was able to get to uploading one of the dyno videos (conveniently mine lol). I still need to go back for the others when i have time. I thought i was standing pretty damn close to the cars, i keep forgetting how wide of an angle the GoPro has lol. Damn Youtube kills the quality of it.
So I drove home 2 hours with the car only running on 7. Let it sit for a while since I didn't really want to do anything. Then I went to show my dad the coil. Popped the engine, and I pointed at the coil and just touched the connector and it came off............ I plugged it back in, fired it up and she purred like a kitten. The little clip on the connector for the COP broke off.
I wanted to go to this but my Sunday was just too busy. I really wanted to get my car on the dyno and find out where I'm sitting with the tune and mods! *Tomorrow* Tonight I am going to the Golden Hills Mustang club monthly meeting - my first since joining the club. Maybe I'll meet some people who want to get some bigger meets going (maybe start our own cars and coffee).
BTW, if any of you have never heard of it, GHMC has an annual car show in Suisun. I went to it two years ago and it is pretty big. Lots of Mustangs (and hot rods) and vendors selling stuff. This year it is on May 16th; I'll be taking my car this year.
I'll keep May 16 in mind Jeremy! Starting our own cars and coffee doesn't seem like a bad idea at all.
By the way guys, I met another mustang owner name Sam. He works at a shop in San Rafael that does vinyl wrapping and have done work for cars that are entered in the SEMA show. Really good work! He also makes custom decals if you guys want to check him out.
Good news! I've finished working on the video of our cruise on redwood road, here's the link:
