When I said late Saturday morning, I was really referring to like 11:30/noon. Would you be able to make it if we started it at like 2PM?

I can't make it Friday (or really most Fridays), but obviously if Friday works better for people feel free to leave me out of it. This also obviously isn't going to be/doesn't have to be the only one.

So wat day is best for you? I can always request a day off work, if Saturdays are the best day for everyone, just have to give a 3 week notice.

I mean Saturday and Sunday are best for me. I work a "9-5" (but it's really 10:30-7+) job M-F, so most weekdays are out unless it's some briefish meeting close by. I could maybe do like 9PM - 1AM (for a longer meeting) or something like that during the weekdays, but that would be it. Not sure if many people could make that anyway. I can't really meet before like 9-10 on those days since traffic towards where the rest of you live is absolutely disgusting in the evening, and frankly I don't want to sit in it. Fridays I'm usually busy 99% of the time.

We're probably going to start it this Saturday first and plan a Friday night meet next week or so, stay tuned for that.

The best times for me (after i get the Mustang back) are Friday nights, any time on Saturday, or Sunday during the day.

This Friday night idea interests me. If we did it late enough, it would actually be better for me.

Plus, it makes us kinda seem like a bunch of badasses... Meeting up in the middle of the night... We HAVE to be up to no good!

I naturally like nights better being a college student.

Can you not make Saturday? It seems like three of us can already make Saturday (though I maybe counted you in that). I know someone can't make it, but this isn't going to be the only one. My vote would be for 2PM (someone on here is busy until 12:30) on Saturday at the car museum (it's in a strip mall type thing if I recall correctly). We could then hang out and get dinner (instead of lunch as planned). If whoever had the soccer game decides they don't want to come, we should just meet at 12 and do lunch.

If we keep going back and forth on dates/times, this will never happen. We're better off to have an initial one with a handful of people while this still has some momentum, then to put it off for a month and have it fall apart.

But Python... I WANNA BE A BADASS!!!

Haha.
I get it, but if we rush this through and only 3-4 of us show, well, that might discourage some of us from returning.
I'm just trying to toss out some ideas that will generate enough interest where we'll WANT to continue the meets.
I'd like to go see what they have new at the Blackhawk. So I would definitely try to make it on Saturday, if there are enough of the other guys who would like to go also.
I was just looking at the Blackhawk website and they have a "Cars and Coffee" on the first Sunday of the month from 8:00am to 10:00am. There is a LOT of "big money" in that area so it might be fun to meet at something like that and check out the cars that the locals show up with. It's an event that's already established and it happens at the same time every month. We don't have to go back and forth with "I can't make it on Friday because of whatever". Everyone knows the time and the place for a cars and coffee type event and either you show or you dont.
Hell, Dcansmack is prepared to notify his employer that he needs time off for our NorCal Mustang Evolution meet. I sure would hate to disappoint him with only a few people showing up.
So I guess that we need a head count of everyone that can meet up this Saturday?

Are you afraid we'll all just hate each other?

I'm definitely available Saturday since I'm going to visit family this weekend in Danville. Assuming you are as well, that makes 2. ttt said he could also go, which would make 3, but he needs to confirm.

You guys should check out the South Bay if you're looking for high end cars. People might be more willing to open them up to people in the East Bay (I haven't seen a car show yet around here, though it's probably Mountain View, Cupertino, or Palo Alto), but there's a plethora over here. Not nearly as many classic cars or hot rods though, which is a shame.

I'm not expecting this to be a huge meeting. He already said he can't go this Saturday, but when we get a bigger meeting going on, I bet he can make it. IIRC he needs 3 weeks notice anyway, so there's not much we can do.

Yea I have to request days off 3 weeks in advance, so if we can plan something big I would be down 100%.

Lol.
No. We'll all get along fine I'm sure. I just don't want to bore you guys to death. I find that it's much better to spread my boringness amongst the masses..
Well, hopefully, a few others will chime in with a confirmation to attend on Saturday.

Blackhawk @ 1PM? We can meet in front of the movie theater (closer parking) or just out front of the car museum.

Cool, so 1PM @ Blackhawk Car Museum. We go from there to get lunch in the mall area (lots of food). After lunch -> car museum -> cruise? I'm not sure how long we plan on hanging out for, but if it gets to be like 6PM, is everyone old enough to hang out in a bar (super obviously not getting drunk we all have to drive).

Well i've got nothing going on, so i CAN go. I just won't be in a Mustang, i'll be in a boring truck since the Mustang is down and 2 hours away. Also ultimately depends on if i get slammed with homework, which is unlikely i will get much for the most part.
