Well what's up fellow yochtowner lol, the wed night meetups will start happening again in spring at the red caboose..I'm always at the lumpys car shows, and I'm told a bunch of stangs always meet at in and out on Fridays. Diablo valley mustang club is our largest org around, but I haven't joined that yet. They meet at fuddrukkers concord. And Stang up the Bay will be happening in May which is just completely phenomenal with over 400 mustangs last year ( meet in Oakland and then cruise to San Francisco)... Stang up fam on Facebook will keep u updated if interested (and they don't post often, clogging up ur wall lol)
Sure ill see u around πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Just found this thread, sounds like there is always something going on somewhere. I live in Oakdale ( Modesto area) but would be up for a Bay Area cruise just about anytime. I'll subscribe to the thread in a moment and wait to hear of meets coming up.

If Stang up the Bay is around the same time as last year (Early May) then i will probably show up again. I never go on the cruise though, usually just hang out with friends afterward. Got some good pics last year. Usually a good place to hand out flyers for my clubs annual car show. Which you all should go to also.

There's diablo valley mustang club in the dublin, antioch, Livermore area, although they have been struggling lately with events and membership.

My club, Golden Hills Mustang Club has members from all over norcal but most folks are from napa, vacaville, Fairfield, and Vallejo. GHMC is heavily into charity and fundraising if you are looking to fulfill that aspect of your life while enjoying Mustang comradery.

Lol Pittsburg, CA has no H at the end. That's probably what caused the confusion with Pittsburgh, PA.

Common for the Pittsburg's to get confused. They should have just kept the original name... Black Diamond.

I agree...and the original names of Pitt and Antioch were Somersville and Nortonsville, two very small towns east and west of the mines. Lotsa history up there and if u guys haven't hiked black diamond mines, it's surely one of the coolest places in contra Costa county.. (free on weekdays$5weekends)..would be another great place for a photo shoot too..

I'm a die hard Steelers fan born in Pittsburg, California. Yeah, I was confused as a kid in the seventies. In the eighties one of my friends said "you know the Steelers are from Pennsylvania right ?!?" I was like, oh crap, u serious? lol, but it was already too late.

Now I pay hundreds to see them play when they come to the bay, and it looks like I may have to take out a second mortgage on my home to go watch them win this year's superbowl.

Even weirder, Antioch is named after a small town in England, and the martini was invented in Martinez. Norcal fun facts for the day lol

You guys should come to this. Its a friend of mine with his grand opening for his new shop. He makes suspension and aero parts. I'll have a new part on my car that he is coming out with, not even on the site yet. Car show with free food, what's better than that? Most of my club will be there also.

Idk how long he's been making them. But i know he started when he was at the end of High School. He is a bit older than me. So its gotta be like 4-5 years now. They are pretty similar.

I have a few discount codes for any new tires on Goodyear.com. Only catch is you have to order them online at Goodyear and have them installed by Goodyear as well.

Nice, I've never been to the Blackhawk CC. I usually only go to the SF one.

Was In Albany, CA and got pulled over by the Albany PD they told me my exhaust was illegal and asked "Why I had it" multiple times. He wrote me a correctable ticket for illegal exhaust and window tint, he wrote on the back that a cop can't sign off on the exhaust I have to take it to a smog referee. My question here is do I have to go through with taking my car to a ref or can I just pay whatever the fine is and call it a day? I asked a Sheriff about measuring the db levels or whatever since the officer that pulled me over didn't do anything but look at it and ask me if I had cats which I do. The Sheriff had no idea and said and I quote "That guy must've been a dick we don't even bother with that kinda stuff" I don't have the stock exhaust and it would be a hassle getting all that back on and going through the bull**** I'd rather just pay the fine. Anyone know if this is possible?

Do you have the stock cats, or are they aftermarket cats? If you have the stock cats there then you can do whatever you want after them as long as it meets the DB limit, which yours definitely does, i can tell from the time i heard it.

I am not 100% sure, but i think you do have to take it to the referee in this case. My friend got hit for something like that also and took it to a referee.

I have stock cats just a pypes catback with resonator delete. I'm just worried about the ref looking under the hood and docking me for something that wasn't even the issue. I'm sure the cop didn't realize what he was hearing was mainly my bov not the exhaust as they didn't even bother to ask me to pop the hood.
