Check out Chris' Car Doc in Humble. I've heard nothing but good things about his shop. He specializes in Mustangs.

Anyone know of any decent shops down in the Sugerland area? I don't particularly trust my ford dealer to install things I don't want to.

I wouldn't go to a dealership anyways, they charge criminal prices for labor. I dealership will charge upwards of 800 for a gear install, some very good shops will do it for 300. I don't know about sugar land but like I said before midnight performance is work a look.

Hey do any of you guys know of a reputable shop in the Houston area? Preferably along the beltway.

I agree. I think there's quite a few of us on here but I haven't seen many events or meets recently. I've also been wanting to do a cruise on some nice roads with other stang owners.

That's Bc the Houston meets aren't your usual meets.

Yea I've yet to been to one with this car. When I was using my Lancer (wifes car now), I helped co-found/start the Houston Area Lancer Owners (a.k.a. HALO) and I use to see those guys pretty much every week but change of jobs and what not kinda ended my streak with them.

Ah, well I'm finally getting mine on the track, starting over there at TWS. Going through the HPDE series to get my comp. license. Ill be down there that weekend. The Houston guys should all go out there and we can have a semiformal meet of sorts.

Really stressful week so glad its Friday. The weather has been pretty beautiful this week as well and it sucks that I haven't been able to enjoy it with my Stang. You know windows down, music low, easy shifting, etc.

I would love to find a road, roads, highways or whatever that will allow me to stretch my girls legs and that doesn't mean I will speed, race, drift, etc....I just want a relaxing drive after work to let out some steam listening to my girls exhaust and engine roar.

Does anyone have any roads in mind? I am trying not to go completely out of my way to get to this road(s) so please no one hour+ drives out of Houston comments - no offense.

I live near the Galleria and work near 610/post oak (essentially all galleria/west chase area)

Thanks for looking and responding!

I don't know if there are any truly scenic roads in our part of Texas. But there are some county roads close to where I live in the Manvel and Rosharon areas. Some of them are loooooong and straight as an arrow if you ever wanted to do some testing, and many of them are devoid of residential areas so you don't have to worry about pissing off 1,000 people at once.

By the way I work pretty close to you. My office is at Chimney Rock and I-10, so just a couple blocks north of the Galleria area.

Yea I've pretty much lived here my whole life and times have certainly changed in my 26 years of living.

I use to love going down Highway 99, up to Katy or Cinco Ranch turn around and do it again on my way back home (then) , before it was even a highway more of a Farm Road.

4 Lane roads, two on each side, nice piece of land between oncoming and incoming traffic. Rarely ever saw cops on the road - a few times but never enough to be a "turn off" for a cruise but now that its a toll road its just no fun anymore.

Yea I work at the Four Oaks Place Plaza (soon to be Five Oaks). It would just be nice to leave this area after work (around 3:30) and just enjoy the weather for an hour or so then head home but I've yet to find anything like that around here.

It was easier to find niceish roads around 99 and 90 but now that i live out here its almost non existent.

But thanks for your input man - perhaps I will try that area after work!

If you leave work at 3:30 you should be able to make it down to that area in about 40 minutes. If you leave at 5:00, like me, then God help you...
