Dyno tune, not mail ordered, once you have CAI, exhaust, clean filters (fuel, air) and PM done to safely rev that engine high.

Only purchase Ford Racing gears, use Amsoil gear fluid with FRPP friction modifier.
If you do not know the condition of your transmission fluid, change it out with Mobil1 automatic trans fluid or Syncromesh, and a MGW short throw shifter makes it feel like a whole other car.
I use new plugs when dyno tuning. New air filter, fuel filter, and dont forget to fill up with 93 octane so that your new tunes are programmed correctly. You'll get an 87 octane tune also, but the 93 octane wont interfere at all.

I have an Auto. 96GT. Love my 4.10's. If you have manual, 3.73's ... (hasn't effected my MPG unless my foot is heavy) I cruise 75mph @ 2700ish rpm's which is the sweet spot. I was turning 1800rpm's @ 80mph with stock gears. And that was no fun. Lol
