Just got back from a dry run of the cruise with Mud. You are going to like the route. 140 miles with a lot of 4th gear sweeping curves though some beautiful countryside. The bad news is that the fall colors will be pretty much gone but the good news is that the leaf peepers will also be gone which should leave us with some pretty open roads.

The cruse will start promptly at 10:30am. A lunch stop is planned at about 12:45pm. We should be back at the starting point around 3:30pm.

Below is the start/end point. There is a gas station there. Please be sure that you have 3/4 tank of gas when we start the cruise. If you have 1/2 tank, you may need to start praying on the way back.

Whately Truck Stop Exit 24 off I91
372 State Rd
Whately MA

Don't forget your walkie-talkies. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Nov 5th.

My all seasons have been on for a couple of weeks. Those MT summers are crap below 60 degrees.

My all seasons now won't fit since the Brembo swap haha. Had the car out 2 days ago and oh boy do they not grip! Hoping the rain doesnt happen next weekend...and this snow for that matter.

When I asked the hive about summer onlys in cold (not snow, just cold) the consensus I got was if you live north of the Mason/Dixon line to not use them. I suggest that the cost of a set of take-off Stang rims is cheaper than even a minor accident.

this is from a V6 guy too.

Mud,
I don't think it's quite that bad, you just can't be a moron with them... I can still drive fast, I just may not be able to push it quite as hard as you all season guys

I tend to agree with Tiger. When it gets cold I certainly can't hammer on it from a stop but I haven't had a problem with them sliding out sideways. But there's always that first time.

Depending on the distance in front of you, it could potentially not even matter how cold it is... but regardless, my answer to you sir is "brembo brake package"

That's been my anecdotal experience too. If you have good summer tires, they'll still handle well if over 40 degrees.

Below freezing, no way.

Exclamation CT Convoy Info

OK friends....one week away!

Rob & I are having two stops to meet folks from CT and convoy up. It makes the dull part better so join us for the ride up.

Hartford CT 131 Brainard Rd the Shell station/DD at exit 27 depart time 8:30

Enfield CT 97 Elm St between McD's and DD at exit 48 depart time 9:00

this should get us to the Final Destination (intended...it's Halloween!) the Whately Truck Stop/Diner 372 State Rd Whately/S. Deerfield MA around 10:00 to meet/greet/fill the tanks/etc.

Reminder: These rides are at your own risk!!

Bring walkie talkies, they can help if you get separated from the group

here is a link for cross-pollination:

New England Fall Cruise 2016! - Ford Mustang Forum

If anyone wants to get a convoy coming from another direction pick up the ball post/pm other members ideas of what would work for you it will make the hwy part of your ride better
