Lacr

I am from southern california, and I am going to go with my friends to the Los Angeles County Raceway, and I was wondering if anyone has ever ran that there before, so I can get an idea of what a stock V6 will run there?

I think that depends on the driver more than anything else, including what track it is.

I am planning a trip August 6th (friday) I am bring about 10-15 cars ranging from wrx's to camaros. There will be an afterparty @ my buddies house after the racing. I am leaving for the track about 3:00-3:30pm. I think we should all meet up and drive in together. Lacr is pretty brutal. I did a 15 flat when I bought my car. The best I have done is a 13.4 which is converted to a 12.9 (elevation) I say every car will run about a second slower (elevation, professional driver) My car does a 14.0 stock and I ran a 15.0 Lacr is just brutal. But it is a blast.

Thumbs up

I will be planning another trip sometime in Febuary, if anybody wants to go. Put your name on this thread if you want to go along with a phone# or email. It will be nice & cold for some good runs. Just get there before the ricers show up & kill it.

How far from the track is that? I am about 45-to an hour from there without traffic. We should try to gather up more people & plan it in Feb or March or whatever.

Just to bring this thread back toward the top of the list I'll post here. I am new to this forum and came because ttpancakes is on here and we live close by. I still don't see anything from the original post though, can any v6's say what kind of time's they've run there? Have any v6's run there before?

By the way, if you're bringing 15 people and you can make it happen, go on a Wednesday, Fridays get crowded after a while and 15 more people wont help that at all.

Ya they have. It is about a second off from what your car does in motortrend. When I bought my car My best run was a 14.9 Now I have dropped it to a 13.4 The track is brutal. There was stock 03' cobras and brand new vettes running 13.6's. I race a ws6 w/longtube headers. It ran a 13.8. What do the v6's run in motortrend?

I agree, that track is terrible. Anyway I found a list of times that are supposed to be from motor trend and other magazines but not all years are listed. Here it is anyway, go ahead and see if your car is on there if you're interested http://www.albeedigital.com/supercou...0-60times.html As for a 2004 v6 mustang which is not on there, on a good night I'd say you'll run 16 flat ~ 16.2. I say that because last time I went I got a 15.6 and I can beat ttpancakes 2004 v6 with intake by a few carlengths.

Wow That is sweet. I am faster than all the ferrari's except for two. (& of coarse the enzo). Look @ the difference between the five oh's. (lx & GT) the lx is alot faster. I can't believe the 2000 s281 only runs a 13.8

Yeah, most expensive cars aren't necessarily 1/4 mile monsters. Granted they do well for a stock car, but it's just that it's difficult to find a street legal car that can pull that 1/4 mile time while still being able to reach the top speeds and reliability of a ferrari or lamborghini. Furthermore try to find a car that can drive 150 m.p.h. for extended periods of time, pull 11-12 sec. 1/4 miles, then have it be able to handle as well as one of those things, that would be quite a task!

Ya I am able to go on a Wenesday. That prolly would be better. I just like to stay up late that night and drink myself to sleep. It is sometimes hard to go to bed because of all the adrenaline. I like to leave around 3:00 so my car can cool off before they open, plus to get more runs in. We need eric to organize. type a list of people you think can go. Including ttpancakes cause I know he was interested. Thanks!
