something different

this is off the topic of mustangs sorry but someone said something about firewall and a hiss i was putting in some subs for my freind a few months ago i couldn't find a place to run the power wire through the firewall so i drilled a hole and luckily enough i think i hit something i hear a hiss that was kinda loud then faded away it kinda smelled wierd and there was a light white fog its a 1997 jeep grand cherokee i went low on the passenger side i drilled through the engine bay and can't see the hole in the cab the vehicle doesn't overheat the heat works and we think the a/c works but it was winter so it would be cold already what did i drill into oh and i found a place to run the wire so no discussion there any help would be aprreciated

It sounds like you hit a vacuum line that operates the duct work, or the weird smell could have been Freon.

yea it should be very easy to find just look on the other side of the hole. There is a hole located on the drivers side its a little rubber thing you can pull it out and stick the wire through the hole it has.

this is on a jeep grand cherokee and i had to go outside the door and through the fender but i know what your talkin about on the mustangs but how much do you think its gonna cost to be fixed

that noise you heard was most likely the sound of freon escaping form the hole you made in the evaportor coil. NOT GOOD!!! that is not gonna be cheap to fix
