Trunk dimensions

anyone know them right off the top of their head? I've got a set of Alpine Type-R 12's and the box I have them in now is way too big to fit in the trunk, so I need to build me another box.

Not sure if the trunk is the same size on all year mustangs, but it's a 2000.

Re: Trunk dimensions

well, the box I was using was 15" long and 16" tall, and it wouldn't even start in the trunk. I guess I'll just get out there with a tape measure and find out.

Re: Trunk dimensions

Ok, I bought a box at a local audio store that fits, now my problem is finding a good enough ground. I'm beginning to think I don't deserve subs in my car, lol.

Re: Trunk dimensions

either take the panel that covers the left side and pull it out and stick it between the two peices of metal or run it under the rear seat and loosen one of the upper rear seat bolts and tighten it there

Re: Trunk dimensions

10.7 Cubic Feet

EDIT: Did you check under the seat for any bolts to ground? What size gauge are you running?

Re: Trunk dimensions

I did, and I tried those, but it didn't seem to work. I'm running 4 gauge power and 2 guage ground. I just ran the power down the drivers side and the ground down the passenger side to the amp.

Re: Trunk dimensions

Usually those ring terminals aren't big enough to fit through the belt's bolt. I'll usually cut them if they are close or round out the center with a unibit or something so the bolt will fit nicely.
