Unhappy Eaton M90 SC + Mustang 04 v6 =???

I have a guy I ran across today who has an original 3.8 t-bird supercharger who said he was going to put it on his 2000 v6 mustang but has recenty wrecked it.... but anywho I was thinking about grabbing it for 250$ and was wondering if it was worth it??? I have an 2004 v6.

He says he has everything needed for it to bolt right up to my car. But wut I was wondering was.... What kind of gains would I see?

Would it be worth my time and money to put it on?

I did alot of researching this morning and seen on a bunch of forums that said the Eaton M90 SuperCharger can bolt up to the 94-98 but that it wont bolt up to the 99-04 v6??? is that true

But if it can if i were to pick it up wut all should I make sure I have so that everything will work properly? (like a check list)

Im still fairly new to the mod world but I'm learning day by day and appreciate all the help from you guys and gals

wont work, cant bolt up just the supercharger, plus it doesnt do much anyway. People are doing the 03/04 cobra M112 supercharger on 99-04 v6's and it does pretty good but the stock hood usually wont clear it.

You'll also need a fabricated intake manifold that you can buy from supersixmotorsports.com. Mysteed from 3.8mustangs.com has an entire kit you can purchase that includes everything needed for $2800. You could easily push 300+ out of a stock 3.8 with an Eaton M112.

Re: Eaton M90 SC + Mustang 04 v6 =???

it wont bolt right up but people make kits for it with all the workings, but the stock hood wont clear it, it takes a rather large hood to clear it. It also wont be intercooled which is a bad thing with a roots blower as it gets VERY hot. Overall they are seeing 300rwhp~ on the setup on 99-04 v6's with around 8-10 psi

Shoot me a PM and I'll show you what all you need. You can slap on 13psi of safe boost for about $1000 less than the cheapest F/I kit on the market.

i would only do it if you are willing to accept the fact that you can blow up the engine/transmission/rear end and you are willing to take that risk, with that sort of mod you need know it can happen

Super Six Motorsports is the site. the intake is on the main page and if I'm not mistaken it's around 900. Also take in to consideration what Spec is trying to tell you. Whenever you boost an engine, things will break and faster than normal.

A turbo is too...how can I say it...rice-a-roni-ish. If you're going to do any type of forced induction, do a s/c and go with the kit Ryan mentioned.

Re: Eaton M90 SC + Mustang 04 v6 =???

turbo > supercharger in the hp/tq department... its the best way to make power overall not saying it will always perform the best but there is no belt drag to turn a turbo

I love turbos, and I WILL run twins one of these days, but not until they're bolted up to a forged bottom end.
