Lookin' for a good Classic Mustang parts vendor

I am switching from the vendor I have used in the past, CJ Ponyparts. We had a falling out over generally arrogant and dismissive customer service. As well as very slow shipping. Can anyone recommend a Mustang Parts vendor, that values its' customers, ships their products quickly without excuses, has fair prices and a descent return policy.

Thanks
John

I don't know how nobody saw this...

I know there are more and I have a bunch saved somewhere but I would start over at Latemodel Restoration Supply - Mustang Parts, Chevy Truck Parts & Dodge Challenger Parts and Mustang Parts & Accessories Superstore - 1800Mustang. Many people use LMR and I got Dallas mustangs from a member on here and she (I'm pretty sure it was a she) swears by them.

Now I have to find the others and it's going to bother me that I can't remember these places, but I would definitely start there.

Re: Lookin' for a good Classic Mustang parts vendor

In the past, my family always had goodluck with The Paddock Performance and Restoration Parts -

I've also heard good things about www.mustangokla.com from a co-worker, but have never used them personally

And if your looking for hard to find original parts, u might try http://www.car-part.com/index.htm its and index of junk yards with parts lists around the country

Re: Lookin' for a good Classic Mustang parts vendor

Me along with a few of my friends have had some incidents with CJ Pony Parts as well. Customer service and shipping issues.

LMR is decent, they have a lot of parts, and I've heard that the Paddock Restoration that outlaw80 mentioned is good as well. The guy who said they were good is restoring a 65 fastback.

Re: Lookin' for a good Classic Mustang parts vendor

Thanks for the advice. CJ Ponyparts shipping took weeks, then I would call and was basically told if I don't like it, go somewhere else. When I called thier mgmt, I got the same story. Plus thier return policy was dissapointing. I figured in this economy they would be a little more supportive of customers spending hundreds of $ in diposable income. Sometimes these guys think they are a little more important then they are.

^^^Yah you would think someone in that particular business would be more accomodating and willing to form a solution to a problem they created.

I ordered parts from American Muscle and CJ Pony Parts on the same day.
4 days later I received the American Muscle parts, a little over 2 weeks I received the CJ parts...and they're both located in PA, shipping parts up to WI.

Often these companies get a little bit of success and they forget how they got that success. That's why it's good as a consumer to move on to companies that still remember how to treat thier customers. That's what I am doing.
