Hood interchanging?

Before i make a fiberglass scoop for my 94, i was wondering if the hood off of a 99-04 with the "indent" scoop would fit on mine. Or would it involve changing fenders and/or nose? Or does anyone know of a source that has part interchange info? Thanx for the help.

Re: Hood interchanging?

Are you talking about the hood scoop that comes on the 99-04 hood, cause they can be installed on a pre 99 hood.

Re: Hood interchanging?

not the hood scoop thats on the hood. But i want the hood like the one in your sig. The center of the hood is "sunk in" with faux insert. Then the scoop is over that on yours. Does that make sense? I suck at explaining things.

Re: Hood interchanging?

Ya it does, I want to say that the 99+ were wider or more "edgy" making the two different. I think the wheelbase, track width, and overall width are different.

You probably would have to change the whole front clip, but I'm not sure if the lines would match the rest of the car. Maybe someone else will chime in that can help more than myself.

Re: Hood interchanging?

You would have to actually custom make the indention on a 94 hood so that it will have that bigger/taller scoop look. The hoods are not interchangeable.

In the case that you do the customer work, I suggest you make it a functional heat extractor.
