thats what he was sayin. most of the miles he put on was when he first started he route. he was driving around 400 miles a day. i worked with him awhile. he would pick me up at 330 am and wouldnt get back home till 6pm. the moment i got a full time job he started working in town. and maybe do 5 hr days. wahile making more money. i was madder than hell. now he calls when he gets off work at 1pm-130pm to see if i want to grab a beer. always at work when he calls so i can never go

Re: How many miles on your pony?

Well I am getting ready to hit 98,000 on my 95 vert (3.8) It has been my daily driver
Since I bought it sept 09 with a busted odometer and 86,000 miles. So who knows how many miles actually on it. And it does not burn or leak any Oil. With it being 15 years old I am getting almost 30 mpg on the hwy with cruise. Awsome cars cant believe I waited as long to buy one.

Yes they will surprise you...as long as they're well maintained and not abused, you will get quite a few miles out of them...I've seen a bunch of v6's and GT's with 150,000+ miles still running strong.

Re: How many miles on your pony?

I have 129,000 but had a used motor with 66,000 put in at the end of 2007.
Have had to replace every pump that ever existed: fuel, water, power steering. Still have a squealing noise that occurs even when the air conditioner is off.

anyone know of a place to find decent priced headlights for the 2000 v6?

You really haven't had any major issues with that 2v, just an IAC or something right?

NeE<311 -
There are plenty of places to get some new headlights. Are you looking for OEM? If so then check out Mustang Parts, Chevy Truck Parts & Dodge Challenger Parts at Latemodel Restoration Supply or www.DallasMustang.com or contacting Tousley Ford Tousley Ford Parts Depot or look for a junk yard and a 99-04 mustang since those years are interchangeable. If you want something a little different (i.e., smoked, projector lens) or aftermarket then you can't go wrong with Mustang Parts & Performance - American Muscle

Tiff -
Check out some of these links:
WikiAnswers - How do you fix trouble code P1443 on a 1997 ford ranger
What can I do to fixs this DTC p1443
And in general Google (<- actual Google search, not just Google's home page)

I blew the plastic intake manifold... by being stupid in a blizzard. It wasn't intended to hit redline as many times as it did that day. Hell, I was at redline for like a minute or two before it finally broke. Haven't had any issues other than that.

Oh yeah I remember you saying that a while back...tons of people blow those plastic intakes out, a nice new one with some aluminum will solve that.

I'm at 35,481.6 (they added the tenth's spot on the S197's for whatever reason.) No issues other than an EGR valve which the previous owner replaced according to Carfax and this throttle thing now.

Which really isn't a huge deal after having a Chrysler that fell apart at 70K miles.
