Grabber?

Would someone please explain to us "stang-noobs" just what a grabber is? Is it based on the colors (grabber orange, grabber blue, blah blah), or is it a certain set-up/bodystyle?

Re: Grabber?

It's simply the name of the color. Ford is just trying a new spin on this whole retro thing.

Re: Grabber?

I think they made a grabber package back in 1970. It came with sport mirrors, a blackout panel, c-stripes, and the obvious grabber paint. Now it's just a color that's offered as lowflyn said...Ford trying to revive the retro stuff.

Re: Grabber?

My 97 has sort of a rare undesirable color for most lol... It's purple 2,462 3.8 and 4.6's were this color in 97. I'd like to know how many V6's were purple anybody have any ideas on where to get this info? It's a very base model with no power windows/locks. not even a rear defrost!

Re: Grabber?

Like sonicpony said, there was a package that went along with the color back in the day.

I kinda like it....even if it is barney purple. I was looking at one, but the wifey didn't like the color.....what I liked about it, is that it was uncommon...just didn't look like all the usual gt's
