You get out on the road and the thing falls apart. Oops! Don't even waste your time. If you want to be curious call the guy and ask for the VIN. I did that one time and the guy wouldn't give the vin unless I was an autobroker. Didn't buy his car, but wanted to have a dealer friend call him up. I just ran out of time and forgot to do it. On average for a base 05-09 V6 coupe about $9-12.

I had that problem when i had a v6 and put a saleen bumper on the corners kinda came out then i took it back to the shop and they put either little screws or rivets in it from the inside and it looked and held perfect.

Re: thinking of buying another stang...

I'd definitely pass on that car...it just sounds like trouble. There are plenty of mustangs out there, and I'd almost shy away from 99 cobras. They had power output problems.

Plus, as stated before, you can buy a decent 03/04 cobra for 18k, 99 saleen/roush cobra or not, I'd still take the 03/04 over it, just a better car with more potential imo.

Easy there, don't get too excited now

I don't think she's too fond of the fox bodies, I remember her saying something about them earlier. My only problem with fox bodies is that people selling them think they're gold, even if they are in terrible condition.

Re: thinking of buying another stang...

yea, not a big fan of the foxbodies. only reason i'd want one is to have as a drag car.. and that's not what i'm lookin for... yet

so anyway the search continues. went take a second look at the car yesterday and i saw even more stuff that i didn't like. def. gonna pass on it. feel sorry for the person who pays 18k for that car.

Local member on here has an 04 mystic coupe he'd sell for $16k. Don't know the mileage off hand, but I Could get it for someone interested. Also, this car is still stock and has never been pulleyed.

Even if it has higher mileage, that still seems low considering it's in stock form and mystic.

Several of us on here can vouch for the car. It's clean and stock. He just wants it gone.

yea i wish i could now too.. but don't look like i'll be getting one as soon as i wanted...

lots of recent changes in my life. and nothing good moneywise...

but thx for keeping your eyes peeled for me and postin up the info.. just wish things hadn't started to go south for me. i'll be using my V6 for a while now. might even be looking at selling my other vehicles just for the money, not to be able to buy anything else.

Re: thinking of buying another stang...

my 03 gt was 11.3k with 60k miles. but that was with a custom black and white leather interior and before i addded headers, exhaust, injectors, cams, intake, and a tune.

on the power side i hit 300hp to the wheels so its not too bad but like a lot of the others say, buy what you really want..if that involves waiting so you can save enough then i say do it because it would be worth it.

i would much rather have an 03/04 cobra but i took into consideration how many miles i drive to and from school so im waiting and looking for the right one at the right price to get as my wknd car.

just my opinions though, hope i helped you out a little!
