2003 sonic blue terminator

Its been a long search for the right one and after a arguement with a dealership over the price on a black 03 Terminator I decided to look elsewhere. As soon as I got off the phone with them I searched CL dealers in Dallas and it was like it was meant to be....there she was a 2003 10th anniversary Sonic Blue Terminator in superb condition in and out, modded engine and tons of suspension upgrades, framed dyno sheet (450RWHP) framed SVT documentation, navigation, dvd player and backup camera. She is the one and I will be picking her up on Saturday morning.
Below are some pics from the dealer.

Nice...

And just for the record it's not a 10th anniversary edition...

Enjoy the car..you got the fastest color.

Re: 2003 sonic blue terminator

You're not going to find a CAI/RAI that will fit under the STB. The stock one, however, is not a restriction.

Looks like the car already has a separator so good deal on that one. I also notice an aftermarket MAF (or at least the housing). I would get the car on a reputable dyno soon after purchase to double-check the tune. 50-100 bucks is cheap insurance on a 10k engine.

What red inserts? I think you're looking at different pictures than I am. Sonic Blue was not an available color for the 10th anniversary package.

Well go **** off then.

Attempting to help someone but I figure you know it all already. You start out by calling it a 10th anniversary which tells me you apparently don't know **** about the car.

I'm done with you now.

Quit fighting i assume you are both adults. I don't know if its a anniversary or not but really who cares? I know it is supposed to be worth more but a badge and a few other extra options doesn't mean anything to me.

You left out the best picture:

Looks like a clean car, you can probably talk em down a few grand though, especially with those miles.

Re: 2003 sonic blue terminator

Seriously. He knows what he's talking about.

Ten years after SVT introduced its first product--the 1993 SVT Cobra R--they released a special 10th Anniversary 2003 SVT Cobra. The 10th Anniversary Package was available as either a coupe or convertible, and featured unique 17x9-inch dark argent painted anniversary wheels, red leather seating surfaces in the front and rear, interior trim with the appearance of carbon fiber, red painted brake calipers, and SVT 10th Anniversary badges on the floor mats and rear decklid. SVT produced 2,003 units of the Anniversary model, which were available in Torch Red, Black Clearcoat, and Silver Metallic.

2003 SVT Cobra Production Numbers:
There were #8394 Cobra's made and 2003 of them were the 10th Anniversary Model.

Silver Metallic Convertible #237
Torch Red Convertible #369
Black Convertible #394
Silver Metallic Coupe #381
Torch Red Coupe #365
Black Coupe #257
Total 2,003

Sadly, Sonic Blue was not a '10th Anniversary' color. So the '10th Anniversary' attached to said vehicle may only be a way of saying that it is an SVT made in the '10th' run year. Hell, I could call mine a '40th Anniversary Edition' too, even though I don't have the '40th Anniversary Edition' package on the car; just that she was badged in the '40th' run year of the Mustang's history.

Now for pix...

Badging:

Interior:

Now... all being said, it's an impressive car. Congratulations.

Well, it's not a 10th anni and that package was a 5 grand upgrade so it is worth something. And I'm not sure what red inserts he's talking about but in the pics I see posted the seats look black and gray to me.

As for the attitude, I suggest you lose it ddtcm. As he is an owner of a cobra, he was giving you friendly advice of things to check. If you don't want the advice from people who have the car and have researched things about it, then so be it. You don't have to be an *** in the process.

After looking at my posts above I can see how they could have been taken the wrong way and I am sorry about that.

The car has a nice solid setup to start off with. A few of the mods would concern me as a buyer but I'm sure he's aware of the known issues.

That's all a matter of opinion. The Mystichrome package was a waste of money as well...but both are pretty wastes of money.

Personally, with his dickish attitude towards you suggesting he get his tune checked, im looking forward to the post where he says his motor is done. I saw no mention of a tuner in his post. That leads me to believe it is on the stock tune with a pulley and an aftermarket maf. Safe to say many that trade in their cobras resell their tuners. Maybe he was lucky and they left the tune in the car. Or, maybe he wasn't and they unmarried the tuner from the car before trading it.

If you look at the c/c plates they are mm pieces. I think someone doesn't really know what's on the car.

Re: 2003 sonic blue terminator

read Terminator FAQs

how many miles and what price, I dont see that listed. Going by the condition im going to say 50-70k miles~

It does have mods and that really doesn't add value (but i would pay a little extra if they were the mods I wanted .

take the spark plugs out and inspect them, see if they are right, gaped right, and look healthy. Check the tune on a dyno BEFORE YOU BUY IT, or sign something that if the dyno is WAY off you can return it after you buy if you wish.

find out if its a first run cobra or not (green coolant is a sign of this) you can also look at the build number on the certification. First gens also have a bolt in the middle of the super charger pulley. They are known for hesitation (stock tune easy fixable) and such nothing major difference wise.

Check for oil usage (after sitting a while a little smoke at start up means the valve seals are going)

overall condition, if the brakes are all rusted and chips and stuff all over it pass. Not sure what the price is~ if its 450rwhp then thats just a 2.8 upper/exhaust/cai probably mod wise with a tune of course.

Re: 2003 sonic blue terminator

Lol! Y'all are beatin a dead horse. The reason for the attitude on my side was because every post started with "for the record" so it was probably taken the wrong way. My bad no harm no foul. It is what it is and its not my 1st Cobra so let's call it a wash, lol.

Completely agree on that one. This will probably be removed all together or moved above the rear plate.

Re: 2003 sonic blue terminator

Hmm, interesting thread just about to grab my popcorn

Well, congrats on the purchase...I've always been afraid of cars like these modded considerably by their previous owners and then up for sale. Whatever happened to them before you own it is out of your control...I guess that's a chance you take.

Definitely keep us updated...it looks good.
