s281e track set up (road)

anyone ever tweaked a s281e for road/track ?

In spring i am going to dump the 20" wheels and 15" rotors for 18" wheels and brembo 14" setup but for now will stay with the 20". 20" tire selection and options suck! I have 20x10 in the back and 20x9 in the front. 275/35/r20 in front and 275/40/r20 in the back? I think i should have 295/35 in back and stay with the 275/35 in front?

any other help with susp tweaking would help. this is a great forum!
again in the spring i will be going with the griggs susp front and back.

I just finished the roll bar install and will be welding tow-hook this
weekend.
What do you guys think about the Steeda Watt's Linkage Suspension? I know a watts will work better than the saleen trackbar setup.

Thanks
WD

Re: s281e track set up (road)

Well first of all its my wife that does the driving. I am doing a build to get the car to handle better on the tracks near me. The wife likes to do track transponder timed events (not really racing). We have 5 nice tracks near us.

did i say road?

Thanks

there are tons of upgrades, I would check out Griggs and Maximum Motorsports, maybe BMR for your car for some of the best upgrades out there.

Keep in mind as well, this is the s281e that he is talking about, it already has the suspension mods from saleen stock. So, there are a lot less potential improvements for his car over what a stock s197 has.

Re: s281e track set up (road)

yeah been looking at a full griggs set-up. the saleen k2 MS and PHP and coils in back are better than a stock s197 but i think a good watts with rc adjustment and coilovers should take it to another level

thanks
