Anyone with summer mod plans?

So, who all here has some mod plans for this summer? Either already started, in progress, or planned/buying parts for currently?

Since I can't work on my car and have nothing but a pile of parts waiting to go on, I figured I would see who else is doing what to their cars this summer?

Since the house takes up all my time right now, my parts are accumulating as the temps outside keep rising which should make the installs all that much more fun.

Anyhow, here's what I have going on right now:

Repairs:
- OEM Cobra wipers so I can get my stock wiper arms back on the car
- Ford HD throw out bearing since my current one took a dump
- OEM Ford O2 sensors
- Front/rear rotors and Hawk HPS pads
- Nitto NT05R drag radials

Upgrades:
- Since I have to pull the trans for the TOB, a replacement TOB sleeve is going back in.
- Shim a bolt on the T56 to improve shift feel (Anti-Venom mod in the Vette world for those that have heard of it)

Flat out Mods:
- Kincaid Killer Chiller
- Dual gauge cluster to house new IC Fluid temp gauge and A/F gauge
- Maximum motorsports stainless steel front/rear brake lines with speed bleeders
- Maximum motorsports front coil overs
- Maximum motorsports rear coil overs
- Maximum motorsports sport shocks/struts
- LDC Clutch Freeplay kit
- Black Chrome Stainless letters on rear bumper

Depending on how long this house process lasts as I can only hold off buying parts for so long before I just have to order something....here is a list of potential mods to go on the car as well:

Potential mods:
- PSR Tubular K-Member and Control arms

I think that covers my current todo list to this point. Killing me seeing these parts just kind of sit there waiting for install...but we need to finish the house first....plus, I don't think it's quite hot enough out to try and tackle this stuff...late july-mid august should work fine.

Re: Anyone with summer mod plans?

I will be purchasing sub-frame connectors soon from NQS and putting my 3.73 gears in. Depending on a few things happening in the near future I may be getting the car repainted as well.

Re: Anyone with summer mod plans?

August 8th will be my projected payoff date for Shaundra and that is my main focus now. After that will be a blowerbut haven't decided which to go with.It will be a Procharger and keep the 4.10s or a Whipple HO and either swap my 3.55s back in or do some 3.73s. Along with that will be a adjustable panhard,LCAs, some new KDWs and a possible change of wheels. The wheels will be a maybe and last on the list but everything will be done at the same time.

Re: Anyone with summer mod plans?

Well, I'd really like to do some more serious engine work to the car, but now that I've just bought the truck, that'll have to wait.

I figure more cosmetic stuff...GT side scoops, and a full suspension upgrade ~ shocks/struts, CC plates, lowering springs (H&R's), subframe connectors.

Then, if money/time is left an 8.8" rear and a tuner.

Nothing too over the top this year...

Re: Anyone with summer mod plans?

My list is growing, and fast too. Mind you I've only had this car for less than a month..

UDP
CAI with tuner
Some kind of exhaust modification as I already have a flowmasters muffler.
Strut tower brace bar

I do also plan to order a few "bowling ball" holders if you know what I mean.

Re: Anyone with summer mod plans?

I want to FINALLY get my car to the dyno and make sure the tune is where it needs to be, get my rear fender lips rolled.. and get some gauges to monitor things I should be keeping an eye on lol.

Nothing else really hopefully it wont need anything else.

I was either thinking Head and Cams from SuperSix or a 67 two door post Fairlane.

Re: Anyone with summer mod plans?

i think since i just got the car 40k miles on it i will go tuner, transmission cooler along with a flush transmission and radiator couple cosmetic (replace broken gauge) and if it doesnt have cams or heads already probably pick them up to start late summer early autumn

Look up speed of sound. Alan is a great guy to do business with and is located about 30 minutes from me if anything goes wrong lol.

+1 Speed of Sound makes some awesome products...I've seen a few setups in different cars and they looked great. No complaints from the owners either. Jimmy_Beaner has the dual A pillar gauges...looked really good.

Re: Anyone with summer mod plans?

Where do I start? lol

I need to:
rebuild the Alt
replace the rear shocks
steering rack bushing upgrade
wire in 460 tweeter pods and mod the door panels so they can fit and add a subwoofer.
two wheel alignment after the bushing upgrade.

What I like to do:
dyno tune
gears
wheels/tires.

Hahaha... I wish! I work about half an hour away from home. And they have already past the cost of new tails at $116 each time throughout the course of a couple years I should have ordered them a long time ago but then something else comes up. I'm not sure which tails to order. I'm going to have to do some research.

The tails had a tiny bit of warping due to the hot bulbs and Florida sun though. Barely noticeable, but it bothers me. (A reason why I wanted new ones besides getting pulled over)

Haha! My car is fine Next thing up is brakes, though. I meant mostly with house, kid... always something. The list of things just never ends. I'm glad my car is reliable. It just happens to catch the eye of the 5-0. It used to be just Highway Patrol getting me and the County Cops used to leave me alone, but they've joined on the tail light thing now. Bastards.

You sure it's the eye and not the ear??

I was constantly pulled over by the "friendly" 5-0 in my area in my old car and it was only cause they could hear me..
