Daily driver or weekend toy?

Just curious, is your Stang a daily driver/commuter car or just for road trips, fun, and drives outside the daily commuter grind? My daily commuter is an '08 Nissan XTerra and the GT is for any driving or trip that is for pleasure.

Mine is a daily driver that is kept up like a trailer queen.

My Dads Cobra is a weekend warrior if even that.

Re: Daily driver or weekend toy?

Unfortunately it's the daily driver. I should have kept my old car as the DD till it clunked. I didn't get near what it was worth. Live and Learn.

F150 is my daily driver...the mustang is my "race" car...predominantly for fun, autox & roadcourse weekends...

Re: Daily driver or weekend toy?

My 03 (bought in 05) was my dd for almost 4 years through high school and while in college...bought it with 17k miles and it has 59k now...so I did some work, lol.

Now that I bought a truck, it is the weekend/cruise car

It is nice to drive it when I feel like it, not because I have to.

I still feel that way despite my car sitting for the last few days...but I really got tired of the consequences of daily driving: road debri/chips/stones, ******** hitting your new, freshly painted bumper with their cart at walmart, suicide bugs, etc...repairing and maintaining those type of things gets real expensive, and old fast.

Re: Daily driver or weekend toy?

Drove my 06 GT just about every day and have every intention of doing the same with this 11 GT/CS! As someone said above, I buy cars to drive them and not look at them. I make fun of my son-in-law who bought a 10 Bumblebee Camaro and only has 1800 miles on it since last Oct or so...

Now, granted, I do try to avoid Wal-Mart =) ...

Mines a mix...was a weekend toy, then became the daily for a while, then bought a new daily so it's back to being a weekend toy...but more of a nice weather toy. It's been nice all week, so I've driven it all week.

Mine is a DD.

I agree with you. Someone at work wacked their door into mine. I was so pissed. Now I don't park next to anyone and take up four spots. It's a big enough parking lot so I'm not a dbag. haha.

They don't learn a lesson when you kill them. They learn when they have broken bones and are in the hospital. Then if all else fails, then shoot away.

Yah I park as far away as I can...I don't mind walking the extra 50 feet to the door. But there is always some dickhead that parks next to my car.

I guess I'll have to get myself a 9mm baseball bat
