lugnuts.

soooo,

this is what i have planned for my stang in the near future, i want to get black bullitt rims, and i'm painting my brake calipers pink, with matching lugnuts,
but they're forged, i don't understand what that means honestly, and i'm worried about if they'd fit of not.

Re: lugnuts.

open end means that you will be able to see the stud in the center of the nut.

Re: lugnuts.

check thread size for sure... but i have had rims in the past that had to have certain kind of lug nuts to be able to fit a lug wrench in without tearing up the rim itself.

i wouldn't go with opened ended for sure... studs rust.

Re: lugnuts.

Well, you are on a forum with mostly guys so they are gonna rip on the pink. I think the grabber blue is awesome but not sure about the pink combo but it's your car, girl! Do what you want. But I would stray away from the open ended as well.

Grabber blue is certainly not boring and very spicy.

I am going to have to agree on Lalayla.. Do what you want and don't settle for less.

Unique is the only way to be.. Especially in a game where there are millions of the same thing.

i like the idea of being different as well. and i also agree with the fact that you do WHAT YOU WANT.. its your car.. there will always be people that disagree with somethings you like, but they don't drive the car everyday, you do.

12x1.5 metric will not fit a stang, you need a 1/2-20

It will definitly ensure no guys will be wanting to drive it, unless they are madly in love with you.. Which could be a good thing. It will keep them from not liking the car and liking you. IMAO: it looks to Barbie like, but I'm a guy.

Re: lugnuts.

Follow your gut! If you don't like the pink after a few days then paint them black. I think it would be kinda cool and very unique.

I love the idea of pink calipers! Not sure about the pink lug nuts... might be a little busy and distracting, but it's worth a shot! You can always change what you don't like, but if you don't try it out and see what it looks like, you might wish you would have! Good luck!

Re: lugnuts.

Hey MjRoxy2010. I don't know why everyone is going on about the Open Ended. I seriously think they'll be fine. They're extended enough were i think it will cover your whole stud up. And even if it does show the stud, they don't look that bad. A little orange from rust but not to bad. And i will deffintly not rip on the pink. I think it will look good. Definitly make it a girl car. But it will look good. The only thing in concerned about is the black wheels. Grabber blue and Black wheels i have found dont look to snazzy. I would really do some research before you jump into any black wheels commitment. (All you black wheel people don't be hating on me.)

Re: lugnuts.

As posted above, factory thread is 1/2-20.

Keep searching and you might can find some closed end style lugnuts that will suit what you're wanting to do better.

Anything worth doing is worth doing right the first time. I have one open ended lugnut on my car and it stands out like a sore thumb. Just can't find a match to my current ones and don't want to buy a whole new set...again.
