I've bought a few things from them with no problems. They were also a sponsor on this site for a long time.

I hear that a CAI will deepen the sound a bit, and if it does do that, then I may as well get one. If there is anything that I can do to get that deep throaty sound (besides dishing out $1,400 on a custom exhaust) then I will try anything. Right now I just have flow masters on it.

I went with a magnaflow cat back and it brought that muscle car sound back home. as my wife said you can hear it roar now. with the CAI I have it tuned and I have noticed a huge difference from the baseline in my pony. Americanmuscle is a great site all my parts have come frome there. They are very competitive on pricing.

Re: americanmuscle.com

my only issue with them is their recent lack of care for forums they sponsor~ no idea why it all came about but they seem to be dropping the ball hard core for taking care of those that send them business.

I've heard good things about them never used em. When I do the get money to buy somethings, I may look elsewhere as sepctor said above. Unless they come back to sponsor us. I'd much rather use somone who sponsors the site.

Re: americanmuscle.com

I have ordered MANY parts from AM. They are great. No issues what-so-ever. I have tried other places Like RPM and Andy's Autosports. I have been wating nearly 9 months for the rest of my UDP kit from RPM and all they can say is," the manufacturer redisgined the part and is taking a while to get them out." As for Andy's not too bad, but beware, many of their parts listed are NOT what they are. I ordered my "LED" tailights from them and they are not LED. They have an LED "look" to them, but still use the regular bulbs. Anytime I have a question AM is very quick to answer, usually within an hour. Other sites sometimes take days. As for you CAI, go for it but would suggest a larger MAF with a tune to get the best results. For a throatier sound, I use high flow cats, 4" glass packs, and 3" pipe routed out the side (much like the Roush side exhaust) which makes my little 3.9 V6 sound like a GT with straight pipes and a Flowmaster. Add the 2.5" long tube headers and now it sounds like a true muscle car. As I drive by it feels like someone is punching you in the chest. To make it better, I spend less then $300 on the exhaust system. The only draw back to AM is they didn't carry all the parts I needed for my mods.

I think the biggest reason for this recent lack of participation in internet forums was the constant spread of any promo/discount code. People would be joining forums just to get a discount code and then spread it to 20 other people who really didn't care to get involved with the site or contribute to any mustang community. I know a lot of mustang vendors have gone to more general coupons that take $5 off $100 or more or something similar to that. Hopefully ME will be able to get American Muscle involved again in the site. I'd rather support site sponsors as well.

To the OP, I have had no problems with them as far as ordering, shipping, receiving the right product, and customer support. The free shipping is always nice, and it has made a few other sites compete more by offering free shipping too. I know CJ Pony Parts recently started offering free ground shipping on orders and they never did before.

That sounds discouraging to me because I am planning on purchasing a Mac Cat Back cruzin concepts because they are the cheapest I have found for the Cat back. How long have you been waiting for them to ship the rims.

Re: americanmuscle.com

It was only the 29th, but I have been calling every day and they keep saying it will be shipped out that day, they say it takes 1-3 days for an order to leave the warehouse and when you call expect to wait about 10 to 15 minutes to find something out, and emails are not that good of a idea, I sent two and was never responded to. I'm gonna call at 10 when they open tomorrow, but they have been a big disappointment to me.

Wow, 5 bussiness days, perhaps they didn't have them in stock. It will take them a few days to get them in. But they should put a statement saying it's not in stock and will take a few more days more.

I don't know if yours uses that extra hole that is after the maf but if it doesn't plug it up with a bolt or something but it is supposed to make a little whistle.
