re: GForce Chips?

Its not possible and is a scam, they should not be allowed to sell them on ebay or anywhere else.

Yeah all it is, is a resistor that goes between your sensor wires and tells the computer false readings, it helps very little if any. And most of the time it makes your check engine light come on. You can get the same results if you put a lower degree thermostat in and have a CAI, really you would get better horse power that way.

100k ohm resistor in the IAT sensor is what they are selling, its 50 cents or so for one of those resistors.

re: GForce Chips?

I've been trying to find info about this, are all the chips bad? What about a SCT X3 SF3 Hand Held Tuner, any negatives with those? Would you put one on your car?
---
Also I see gforce chips advertised at the top of this website?

re: GForce Chips?

What a great site!!! I did a search and SCT tuners seems like the way to go.
I've got a 2010 and I drove the 2011 (BAD idea) so I'm trying to add some more HP. So far I've added dynomax mufflers and a K&N filter.
Ford Racing says "other" tuners advance the spark and can harm the engine, is this not the case with SCT?

re: GForce Chips?

im not sure with the 2010's but i have an 05 and got a SCT tuner for mine and i love it. if u have an auto then its definately worth it. it does add a good bit of hp too, especially
with the mods you have.

re: GForce Chips?

when you load your tune into ur car it saves the stock settings, so if u need to, you can return it to its original settings so it doesnt void any warentees.

re: GForce Chips?

Yes, but I also read here, that the dealer can tell if you do that, not sure if thats true. So I'm pretty confused, and started an I'm confused thread in 2010 mustang section.

re: GForce Chips?

You recommend the tuner Murph? Not the chip, What about if it voids the warrantee. Even the websites for the 30 chips say NO we don't void any warrantee but other peaple say YES they do.
I wish I never drove the 2011...

re: GForce Chips?

No, not the resistor, the tuner. I went to americanmuscle and took advantage of their free tunes for life offer knowing I'll never stop modding, not my nature. As for a difference, totally different car now, including some very aggressive shifts. A stock GT is OK. But a retuned one with a improved breathing is pure fun.
