WTF dude? 1/8 mile is for ricerburners? I may prefer 1/4 over 1/8, but that doesn't mean 1/8 still isn't a race. You do realize a LOT of IHRA drag racing is 1/8 mile right? Learn to do your research before you go out and do what you think is flaming someone

How about I bust that "wife's" car of yours on motor since you don't obviously one?

Re: Went to the track again

oh i'm playing with my with my wife's car cause I lost my '93 S-10 race truck that had a big block & ran 10.90's went under nine feet of water along with my house & everything else I owned in new orleans bought the 06 GT for my wife to drive sense we left her car their too. it's kind of hard to everything back you have to start off somewere. so don't jump all over somebody till you know all the facts. Resident a$$hole.

Re: Went to the track again

Your the one that called 1/8th mile racers riceburners...... Talk about a stereotype with nothing to back it up.

Your entitled to your opinion, but don't go bashing others for having different ones, unless it's something like a 4 foot wing on a civic or something of the like. I guarandamtee you, it's harder to improve on 1/8th mile times than 1/4.

Re: Went to the track again

well it's just like anything. you can build your car to run the 1/8 mile or the 1/4 mile. you can run 4.88 or 5.14 gears and go faster in the 8 but you will run out of gear and go slower in the 1/4

Re: Went to the track again

Like 5 hours...... Guess I should have paid attention to see where your from before I called you out. A lot of guys on another forum I frequent race at Hub City in Hattiesburg. Sounds like middle ground to me. Next time we all meet up, I'll be sure and let you know.

You said you had an S10 Race truck. May I direct you here sure TorqueAddicts.net that's the site we're on. A lot of the guys are from the coastal areas as well and are definately mostly chevy guys. Check it out.

And my car is FAR from an 1/8th car. I just like to run it because it's more a challenge to pick up time in the 1/8 than the 1/4 since it's less based on hp.
Running 3.73's here.

Re: Went to the track again

your right on that. I was just using the the built for the 8 as and example. it would be crazy to build a car for the 8 and run it on the street. & the next time ya'll hook up do let me know I'll try to make it. I guess it's kind of crazy for me to say I don't like the 8 when I've never ran it. their are no 8 mile tracks around here. what times do you run in the 8?

Re: Went to the track again

I've had the car at the track twice. best time was 8.26 at 86.75 mph with a 1.991 60ft braking loose the tires still need to do more tuning and get a bottle heater. only getting 60hp from my 100hp shot

I started running 1/8ths just because that's all that's close by. Now that I've got used to it, it means more to me than 1/4-mile times.

My car runs an 8.5@84, in the 1/8th.

Re: Went to the track again

Nice time markuz! Yeah, I agree. It's more getting out of the hole that is the problem now more than anything and 1/8th times reflect it.

What bottle pressure are you running, hott?

Re: Went to the track again

950 is optimum from what I have seen, but I have also seen guys use 1200 psi. Then again, they raised the pressure because after spraying a 200 shot down the 1/4 you lose some pressure.

You pressure sounds pretty close to me :dunno:

Nope. It's a cheaper insurance, takes less land thing.
