Are you that nimble-minded that one person's view or beliefs on something sways your personal opinion and selection?

Depends on if this was a one-off or a habit. If the latter, then he'd make a great president just like clinton and obama.

Too bad George Bush couldn't be easily convinced he was a dumbass. We'd have a lot less debt and useless wars right now.

People still die in those "useless wars" just as much as they do in any other war. This "useless war" also paid alot of my bills and bought me a Mustang.

Oh, great! Bush was an Economist! Who would have thought? The master scheme was to employ hundreds of thousands of Americans so that they could pay their bills! More evidence he supports Big Business!

At least we now have a motive for bombing IRAQ! No Weapons of Mass Destruction, just an economic boost!

Just picking on you Nate!

Even if the government does ban performance the same thing that happened during prohibition will happen with muscle cars and parts. So it would be a waste of their time to even try to ban it

Only difference is drugs are mind altering and can cause many more problems than having a fast car.

You mentioned prohibition, which is alcohol, which is mind altering but still legal.

Yeah, never a good thing when the 'Man' sticks his nose in your ****e, if you get my meaning. Shouldn't they be busy ending one of 2 wars we got going on?

Hell my 66 Mustang blew better emissions numbers than most of the new cars I've seen..it's bull****

No, we are serving a major purpose overseas where we are occupying these countries. Talk to any vet who has been there about what is really going on and you will find that we are serving a purpose despite all the media and naysayers

BTW I call BS on the emissions.

Re: Government ban on performance!!!

We are serving no purpose in Iraq other than wasting tax payer money.

I'm ready to beat this dead horse again. For every one Vet you have saying IRAQ IS NEEDED, there is a Vet saying that we are wasting our time.

Stop using other people as an excuse for something being right and start looking at the facts of the situation.

Re: Government ban on performance!!!

I'm glad it was you that said it Brent. I didn't want to be flame war guy on day 2. My whole family has served in the Marines, Navy and 1 in the Air Force that have served from Vietnam to now; based on everything to date that I've seen and heard, I gotta say this war feels wrong.

We're loosing a lot of brothers and sisters in a war that was a political ploy, and there is no glory, honor or nobility in that.

That bit about ending a war was just some off-hand jaded sarcasm to make a point that government makes bad choices, not to start a political **** fest.

While my time on the job and feedback from my friends and family in the field makes me happily agree with Brent; it's all irrelevant since we're stuck now and in for the long haul which will no doubt cost many more precious lives, and sadly destroy many more families.

Don't be too quick to defend war, people die there...and for the record I am not by any stretch a pacifist, and still carry a sidearm even now as a civillian, and would not hesitate to use it in my defense, the defense of my family or my country.

When killing doesn't matter anymore, you stop being a soldier and become a butcher.

That's all I'm gonna say on the subject.

Thanks Brent.

SaleenFiend, whatever Vet you know or spoke to that believes this is worthy of their lives, I hope they come home safe.
