Re: opinions on springs

Re: opinions on springs

Yea, you have to becareful how low you and what spring rates you get in order to help with handling rather than hurt it.

Most manufactures will label their spring setups for race/street setups

Re: opinions on springs

I have the Eibach Pro kit on my 07 GT/CS and I think the stance is perfect. Not too low, not too high, and the ride is still pretty good, although I still have the stock shocks and struts. I could use some aftermarket shocks and struts, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Probably will stay with Eibach for those as well.

Re: opinions on springs

If your spring rate is too high the car could feel a little jerky when turning or during minor corrections, but too low and you will have an excessive amount of body roll. Those H&R's look like they drop the car too low and will probably make the wheel scrub the inside of the wheel well in a tight turn.

Re: opinions on springs

I did the Summit springs on my black GT, and the job was surprisingly easy. You will need to purchase a set of the camber bolts so the front can be re-aligned. They are cheap- about $30 from Summit. You will also need an adjustable Panhard Bar for the rear, otherwise the rear end will be kicked out on one side, causing a tire fitment issue. Competition Engineering has one for about $130
