Re: just needing to vent

yup... they are that much because they can sell for that much lol Also the R&D that goes into the systems has to be gained back. The system might only cost say 2k to product labor and parts... but that extra X amount of money goes to profit and re-cooping R&D costs.

Re: just needing to vent

Yah it's one of those things that are for the elite...or anyone who is willing/able save up for one.

If you don't upgrade, wheels, suspension, exhaust, body, interior etc you could probably get one...for what I've spent on those things, I probably could've bought a supercharger...car would've been fast (for a six), but it would look/sound stock.

People sell used ones for cheap, sometimes as low as $800, but you get what you pay for. Used ones may not be in the condition they say they are and you really don't know what you're getting until you slap it on your car and 2 weeks later you've got metal shavings in your oil pan.

Re: just needing to vent

sonic pony is right...once u get a blower..u know you just joined the big boys club,.lmao!! my coupe has dent in driver side rear quarter fender lip, rusty crinkly dent in door, dent in fender..and 2 large holes in the front bumper. im even still rockn the 7.5 rear end. but damnit... i got an aluminum pro-stock wing and and 11 pounds of boost, with 456hp at the tires!!! is my stang ugly and loud?..hell yea, just ask my girlfriend. not to mention none of my tires are the same brand..lol. if u want a blower..get one. even before you get the rest of you motors mods. you cant bolt your blower to a junk yard bottom end if you have to and still have a fast car. that's my logic anyway. also, i would advise against a used blower unless you have someone experienced with you to inspect it. ppl have a bad habit of sell'n blowers wit bad bearings, or incomplete kits..in which u woulda came out cheaper buy'n a new one..

Blowers are nice and would like to get one but the cost bothers me. Like I don't got it.
