That's probably not true I don't know why it would let you hit 120 and never again.. I hit 120 and it was still pulling when I stopped accelerating and we don't even have any straight stretches Buddys Eclipse GSX we hit 150 in Oregon.

I just don't know about this being the case at all if your talking about a governor it's just a power lock won't let the car reach it's full potential but I don't think it fluctuates. I'm pretty sure it's just a computer setting set to on speed.

Well if you go for a spin and aim for a top speed you hit 120 then only 115. You try again the next day you hit 120 then 115. Each time you start it up

Awesome car. Went from a stocker to a stroked by the time I was done with it and learned loads about cars along the way.

Re: What was your first car??????

Got my first car in 96. Was a 77 mustang, 4 cyl, 4 spd. Paid $250 for it cause the people said it was "broke and they haven't been able to get it started in 2 years". So me and dad gave them the money, switched the wires on the starter solenoid around and drove it home. Lots of fun in that car till it started leaking oil and i was to "busy" to check it Miss the car like crazy.

Re: What was your first car??????

1969 mach 1 428cj, found it a salvage yard. it was caught in a fire in 1973, and been sitting in run down salvage yard since i found it in 2000. it was hidden all those yrs in the back corner of the lot surrounded by wild life, it was there so long a tree grew up though/into the corner of the rear bumper. had to cut it out. i was 17 and my father helped me restore it to original. drove it for a few yrs then sold it at the turkey rod run in daytona beach. i still miss her... nadine

I bought my first car in 1995. It is a 1989 240sx hatchback. I bought it off my Dad for 3 grand. I worked the whole summer to save for it.
I've still got it. In 2016 I plan on giving it to my son.

86 5.0L T-Bird.. Bought from my grandfathers estate sale for $500.. Had to put tires and replace the head gaskets and a tune up. My brother was mad cause his 89LX was about to need a motor and he wanted to put his HO stuff on that bottom end.. Loser lol
I used to see one identical looking not too far from here, always just sitting. I oughta check it out..
