Mustangs for drifting?

One of the main reason I wanted a ricer was because I'd love to learn to drift.
Are mustangs good for drifting? They have high torque and RWD

Re: Mustangs for drifting?

so.. Are they good drift cars? I mean they did in Fast and furious but movies can be very misleading.
If I believed in everything that happened in movies I'd get a Camaro

Re: Mustangs for drifting?

Just keep that off the streets. No matter how good you are you could lose control and hurt someone.

Mustangs are great for drifting due to their serious traction problems....keep it in the parking lots tho...

Re: Mustangs for drifting?

depends what kind of power your gonna have. and really like the guy above me your gonna get a ton of **** for doing it. im ok with it bc whatever floats your boat but its true its more like figure skating. real courses involve much more skill and you wont roast a set of tires for only 3 passes. i would try going to a road course and race around that and decide which you would rather do before sinking the ridiculous amount of money required into drifting.

I never said they didn't have great car control. Its just not racing. Its figure skating. Excuse me for not seeing everything from your point of view.

no, it's not your point of view...it's your choice of words. i just feel like if it's ok to use the word *** here...then it will be acceptable to use terms like the n word, and other unresponsible and disrespectful words to express opinions.

Wow....I guess we have to put up with the opinions of axxholes....no one asked your opinion and you obviously have nothing positive to contribute so don't let the door hit you on the way out. Dick

I'm sure we are all mature enough to stop with the name calling. We are all here for the same reasons! PM each other the name calling if you want. Just keep it off the boards!

You saying that's figure skating? How? You can drift a long windy course with laps, that's like saying drag racing is just racing on rollerblades, there's people that thing drag racing is just stupid, your just going in a straight line what's the point? Then adding a biased opinion with the word ***, please don't be offensive

Are drifting wheels good everyday wheels? It'd suck to have 3 sets of wheels, winter, performance, drifting :p

The difference is in drag racing the guy in front is the winner. You aren't judged. What is offensive is objective. I used the word *** to describe people like you, not gays.

no more BS, any more replies will just get all posts of that nature deleted/moderated.

I dont like drifting either as its an exhibition not really a sport, but if you enjoy it and it gets you into a good hobby go for it.... just do not do it on public roads lol
