Yes. The exact same way a cai would. Pulling off the silencer does exactly what a cai does. It exposes more of the filter. A sixxer just doesn't suck enough air lil bro. We have covered this already. Do what you want man it's your money. If your gonna buy one it's for looks only because you will get no gains in power. None. And if someone tells you different they are dumb and dont know what they are talking about. The only way to get power outta these things is to make big changes. I have got a rubber for stocker for a gt here I will sell ya. Then no heatsoak anyways. But to be clear just think about it. Use your head. If you expose more filter it's the same as a cai. Isn't it. There not magical bro.

A tuner will reprogram the computer. That will give you power gains. A windstar intake flows better than the mustangs stocker=more power. And you can get that from an auto wrecker for 50 bucks. Cheaper than a cai and good for 10 hp. Real hp. Join up at Modded mustangs and ask some of the older guys. Not the 20 year old dip****s with the ricer mentality. I will introduce you to a couple guys I know in the sixxer area over there who wrench on their own cars and they can walk you thru things that actually improve power in a sixxer k.

Well yah but I've heard an intake on AM will whistle and a stock one won't. Honestly I'm not too concerned with gains right now. Mostly looks and sound. It's a 6. It won't ever have too much bit but it sure can have some bark.

Re: Rivalry!!

Why would you want it to whistle anyway? If you want it to do that so bad, turbo it and install a big ol blow off valve! That's the whistle you want anyway.

I was told the windstar requires a different throttle body if I use the intake. I don't want to eff with that stuff.

It's a bolt on. I will send you mine. Jeez kid a tb is 4 bolts. 4 bolts. American muscle made a YouTube video and have a step by step on their website. Go check it out. It took me 30 minutes to change mine with a 20 minute break. Google this stuff kid. I will sent you a tb and plenum to fit that intake then you will get some real power gains. I will even throw in the stocker intake tube. So you have a ready to install kit. Get the Windstar and I will sell you the rest of the stuff and you are all set. I will send you the gt stocker intake tube and tb and horse plenum for 50 bucks plus shipping. Then you get the windstar for 50. So plus shipping is another 40 or so. Now for 140 you will get 20 hp at least. I wish it was that easy on a gt

That's a good deal right there bud. Shipping probably wouldn't even cost that either.

And the stocker intake flows great for a gt so it's more than enough for a 6er

K if you use a windstar intake all you need is the tb and intake tube from me to make the swap. I posted it in the mm forum to guys who have done it. So for 100 bucks and some time you can really wake that sixxer up
