Is it better to have overdrive off or on during a race? Or does it not matter?

Doesn't matter. Od keeps the rpm down for fuel economy. When you floor it it won't even get into od until you let your foot out of it....

It won't matter a whole lot. If your at w.o.t i don't think it will kick into overdrive anyway. But I don't do automatics so I could be wrong.

No wiring the lights isn't hard for most people however joshy I do believe that you will be asking alot of questions when your doing yours. I suggest paying someone to do it so you dont drive us nuts with the same question a thousand times. And have you joined petom yet. Title is in my sig. Sign up over there k

If you decent with wiring and do it correctly (don't just wrap wires together with electrical tape) it's not hard at all, just keep all the wires tidy
