Question

I've heard I should adjust my throttle for more horses. How does this work? And how do you do it?

Re: Question

The only adjusting of the throttle for more power that I know of is opening it up all the way with your foot!

Re: Question

For real though, you can make sure it is going to WOT (Wide Open Throttle). Have someone push the go pedal all the way down and check your throttle body to make sure it's open all the way.
The only other adjustment would be for idle.

Re: Question

+1^^^ I know the earlier fox body fuel injected 4 bangers had a problem with the throttle linkage being to long but not the newer ones. If your throttle isn't opening all the way up, take a few zip ties and at the pedal you pull on the cable where it connects at and put the zip ties around the cable and that should let the pedal pull the cable more.

How much louder will my v6 01 mustang get if I remove the other two cats further up? I already removed lower two but I was wondering the sound difference between catless and half catless?

And does anyone know what taking the silencer out of my intake will do for me? Will it make it have a whistle and hp gains? Or exhaust sound gains?

On the airbox pointed into fender. Looks like a snorkel. You have to unscrew the airbox and just muscle the rubber snorkel away from the round plastic part

Re: Question

Don't expect noticable power from anything that is that easy to do. It's not that easy.

As far as the OP, there is no throttle adjustment for more power, it doesn't work that easy.

If you want a CAI then put one on, just don't expect a huge power increase.

Also, to the person who wants to take the pre-cats off, I wouldn't recommend it. It's also illegal in all 50 states to remove functioning cats from a vehicle. Just throwing that out there. *disclaimer*3 of the 4 vehicles at my house right now do not have cats*/disclaimer*
