Re: 5.0 or 4.6??

There was a Cobra (Non SVT) in '79-81. Then the SVT Cobra showed up in 1993. No other Fox was a Cobra, except for in Canada, as their GT's were named Cobras, apparently so Ford could keep the Cobra name. There is also no such thing as a Convertible Cobra.
There is no 1988 cobra. I just didn't want to be an ahole at first, and I wanted to see what he would say.

5.0 for me too...I drove the 4.6 and it just doesn't have the power that the 5.0 does in my opinion...much rather be pushed back in my seat and know the power is there than have a luxury ride from the 4.6 lol

5.0 are torque monsters and can be built for high hp cheaper than a 4.6. However a 4.6 is made to rev. I personally like both but they are completely different motors

NP, just had to make sure nobody was trying to claim they had something that didn't exist, lol.
Sounds like a nice swap. What happened to the donor car? Destroyed?

Re: 5.0 or 4.6??

Damn, should have parted it if parts were in decent shape. Could have made the money back and then some. A lot some actually. Parts for '93 Cobras are highly sought after because of their originality.
Sad to hear of another dead one. What color combo was it interior/exterior?Build number on it possibly?
Sorry for all the questions but I try to collect info on them so I can inform the Cobra registry of dead ones.

5.0 for me, dad got a 2008 with the 4.6 and you'll feel sucked into your seat with either one but I just like rounded numbers better

I've gotta terminator now with twice the hp that my 92 notch I had. The notch was just as much fun. No where close to as fast but I really miss that notch. The 4.6 has a lot more potential. 10 sec 5.0 street car is tough to do.
