bad gauges

We have a 2005 V-6. The gas gauge has quit working, and the speedometer does not work. I have replaced the speedometer sensor and the speedometer still does not work. The sending unit and fuel sensor in the fuel tank check out OK, so that leaves the fuel gauge. It looks like I'll have to replace the
instrument cluster. Has anyone else had this problem?
