Loudest muffler?

I just got a 5.7 Hemi dodge with Gibson headers and 3" catless exhaust? What is the loudest muffler I could possibly get for it? I'm going true dual so whatever you think. This applies to mustangs to that why I posted on here because I know you guys have the knowledge! Tell me your thoughts please!!!

Re: Loudest muffler?

But a couple of glasspacks and buy some pipe that just does slide inside of the glasspack so you bypass it and that will be the loudest you can get.

Re: Loudest muffler?

Take a listen to Flowmaster Super 10 series. It's what you'll get because it's pure sex to the ears. A Hemi and FM 10's are a perfect match.
Flowmaster has a new video made using the same engine, same car with each of the mufflers they make. The 10 Series is last.
Good Luck, nice set up.

Re: Loudest muffler?

a single chamber muffler would be the best place to start. I know Borla has different levels up to the loudest (race muffler) style.

It's my daily driver but here is what I'm gonna do. It has gibson headers which will come from 3" pipe back to the mufflers which will be put through the frame where it is channeled to dump behind the cab which is single cab. No cats and I want it as loud as possible I don't care if its daily driver or not..

I'm afraid glasspacks will give the wrong sound though..I like the way the flowmaster sounds I just want it 5x louder. Do you think dual 3 in 3 out borlas would sound good?

Also I'm reading online and a guy said that 3 feet of 3" straight pipe off the headers is well over 100db's would that be louder than dual borlas? Both would be dumped behind cab

Re: Loudest muffler?

I'd say either single chamber flowmasters or magnapacks. Either one will be deafening.

Or go with something like a SLP LM1 muffler (resonator), any sort of race bullet, straight pipes. You're pretty open here.

Re: Loudest muffler?

You could always get some longtubes and run open headers. Just about nothing is louder than that.
