How am I whining. I don't care what gas costs. I am still gonna buy it...and how was that even directed at you. If you have a problem little boy why don't you express it instead of running around it. Pauvre bebe

I remember reading that the gulf of mexico has more oil than all of the major middle east wells. I wouldn't be surprised if we are just useing up the arab oil just so the us and mexico can have a monoply on the oil market after they are dry. It would kill our debt over night. Just thinking out loud though.

well I understand what your saying. However, in that vein, we need to manufacture in this country whether it's oil, natural gas production, furniture, food, plastics, whatever we need to diversify our energy supply as well as what we produce. We need to export more and import less.

Our problem in America at the moment is not our lack of oil but our lack of ability to refine the oil. We can drill Alaska into oblivion but will still have to out source our ability to turn it into gas.

Re: gas prices!

I don't understand how gas goes from $0.62 a gallon in Saudi to $4.00 in the US. There is no ****ing way. It amazes me how we have a free market but yet it's still a controlled market at the same ****ing time. Blows my mind.

Especially when we are surrounded by oil refineries here.

I highly doubt we will see $7 a gallon...the economy would collapse...food would be extremely expensive at the grocery stores, restaurants would see a big decrease and so on with every market.

Re: gas prices!

Well, we can just shut down production of our oil wells, not pay states loyalties for their oil wells, enforce laws about drilling that is technologically almost not possible at this point, scare off future rigs to Brazil.. keep it up big Govt.

Re: gas prices!

Ya I can't wait until the nicer weather comes along...I can ride my bike to work all week on ~$10-$15 a week

I did it last year spring-summer and it was nice...only drove the Ranger when the weather was rainy, and only drove the stang when I damn well felt like it lol.
