future mustang owner

Hi guys and gals I'm on the hunt for my first mustang. I thought this would be a good place to ask some questions. First off I'm looking for a 2005-2011 gt with leather and manual tyranny. What are some descent prices for each year oh I also wanna try and stay under 20000 miles. What are some specific things I should look for on a used mustang. And can I put on 20 in wheels without making any big mods to the car. What's the best exhaust setup for them. I've been looking at the pypes violators. And what is the best cold air intake for it thanks guys

Re: future mustang owner

I've got twenties on the 05 GT... Well, right now there are 18 Dunlop winter sport.. I like the 20's, they don't rub but I picked a tire with the same diameter as stock which is a very low profile tire with a 20" rim. If you are a rough driver, I wouldn't even consider it. One bad pothole could ruin tire AND rim...

Yes it's worth it. I dont like the drone of the x-pipe but that's a personal preference. The best sounding exhaust ever is the Mac prochamber.

A little to high. I looked at an 09 with only 5k miles. And perfect condition manual and only wanted 21900 from a ford dealership.

It looks good. Atleast you put bullets. And not some other ugly custom rims. I like it.

Re: future mustang owner

Actually they are American Racing Torque Thrusts which is the wheel which started the custom wheel craze, they have been produced since the late 1950's.

Bullets are a copy of this wheel....

Re: future mustang owner

Put whatever you want on your car.If someone doesnt like it they can get ****ed.....hows that?

I wouldnt do 20's on a fox or new edge but the 05-11 look great with 20" wheels. They also look good with 18s & 19s.I hate a tire that looks like a freakin cartoon wheel all blown up which makes the rim look tiny and usually happens when people run 18/19s but thats my opinion.Yeah the 20" wheel can look like **** on a S197 if its ghetto style so be careful which wheel you choose.I just picked up some 20x8.5 & 20x10 Boss 338s wrapped in KDW2s so if that makes me a ricer or ghetto then so be it.......I guess thats what makes us all different.

Go with the 2011 5.0. It is the only way to go the 5.0 is the ****. As far as exhaust or cold air. I am still learning that stuff to. I was never a ford guy. But I have been converted after driving the 5.0. Its a great platform to start with. You will regret any other. You can get the base model for under 30k off the showroom floor. Biggest bang for the buck

I would have to agree that anything 04 and older should go 18 at the biggest. However my personal taste is that 05 and up look fantastic with a slight drop and a decent tire size on 20s. They really fill up the wheel well and give an aggressive stance with the right wheel.
